They made a comeback in the late 1990s when a lot of 70s fashion came back and I asked someone if the shoes were a modern ergonomic version or remakes of the old style and was told the latter so I said they're likely to fail all over again! Haha!
Ur 100% right there heyday was early to mid 70s by 77 they were gone ( well in London anyway ) and they were a nightmare to wear I twisted me ankles in these things so many times

1973 or 74. These were out by 77. Had a pair myself. Embarassing to think of it now.
