The superhit national song by Awaz. One of the all time classics from the 90's. The song was composed by Haroon and Faakhir; and Asad Ahmed brought on a killer guitar solo and funky rhythm guitars. Lyrics by Adeem Hashmi. The music video was shot live in concert at the Alhambraa amphitheatre in Lahore. The song has a powerful positive message for the youth. When this song was launched, as an addition to Awaz's first album Vol. 1, it helped catapult the band to mega heights.
I was in matric when this was released and we were crazyyyyyy about Awaz! It was our favorite Pakistani band. THIS is good music. The lines, the energy, the emotions 🩷🩷🩷

Not sure if you guys meant it, but awaz to me was the fusion band of the 90s, with Haroon bringing in western pop, and fakhir bringing in desi touch and jingles to the group.
It was quite evident when you guys broke up, the first albums you came up was a pure pop, and Fakhir on the other hand relased a desi jingle/melodius album.
This needs a remake, im sure it must have crossed your mind many times, you need to start somewhere. include a fan who can tell you more about how this used to sound to us and interpret that into your sound and it will be EPIC

what an awesome video! i think it was Independence Day 1994. i've been trying to find the rest of the concert including the VS performance in good quality to no avail. this is so much better than the other clips from that night.

Can't be bhai. This song was in Awaz's second album that was released in '95. This song probably was released as a single a few months earlier. Rizwan was in Vital Signs in 1992, not with Awaz. Junaid's hair was also very long for this concert, it was shorter layered style back in 1992. Also in this concert, Amir Zaki played with Vital Signs, something that started in 1994/1995 and ended before Hum Tum was released. He'd play with them occasionally while touring later in the 90s as well.
@@supra1722 Exactly.. Rizwan joined after the first album was released and left just before they started recording 2nd album. He only helped in this particular song 'Watan kahani' and was with them in all LIVE concerts during that time period
