Exactly! Great video! I’m completing my training hours at the moment and you are absolutely right! Safety is key and that is why training is so extensive. Thanks for sharing your experience!
definitely a huge undertaking but so so worth it! thank you for watching and wishing you the best with training!
This is no joke! Very intensive, time consuming, and expensive!!!
I just started with polestar in Florida
I find it extremely difficult and frustrating. I am 45 yo changing carriers. I am shock how expensive it is with private s and I have zero anatomy knowledge 😞. Thank you for creating your channel 🙏🏻I have long ways to go !!! Congratulations n passing all exams 👍❤️😊
Sorry for asking but how much did the overall cost end up being?
☀️
Thanks for sharing! I’m interested in the same training program and wanted to ask how extensive you were doing pilates before the program?
Given the big investment on this learning opportunity, I’m not sure if that’s something which can be achieved given I’m working fulltime job. Love to hear your thoughts
Congrats on starting your journey! Before the program I had about 7-8 months of Pilates experience taking classes about 2x a week. I was also a Neuro major in college so I had a basic understanding of anatomy which helped, as well. But other than that, nothing else! While I was getting my 500 hours, I was also taking extra classes with full-time course load (4 classes) and working a couple hours. So not the same as a full-time job, but I definitely know folks in my cohort who made it work while working full time. I took 6-8ish months after the weekend trainings to get all of my hours but you can stretch it out to a year if you need to!

Can you do a follow up video on salary, pay rates, schedule, how you feel about being an instructor now?
My intrest has come from a Lifetime Academy/NASM Instructor during my 3rg re-certification for CPT (i suck at ceu's) and she said "you should look into Pilates Certification as there is a nearly comnplete lack of male instructors at Lifetime.
Should I do it! Instinct says hell yes.
Yes, I say go for it! I definitely committed a lot of time, $$, and energy, but I don't regret one bit my decision to take the leap and get my comprehensive cert :)
Do you also need to buy a reformer for yourself and how big is it?
A reformer is definitely a good investment, but not necessary if you can get to a studio and strike up a deal with the owner/manager to use a reformer during the downtime between their classes. That's what I did. I do plan to buy a reformer when I move in the coming months. Sizes vary depending on your space, but they have more in-home friendly options (e.g. Merrithew)
Thanks for sharing and will you do this full-time?
I'm currently working part-time up to 20 hours/week for the foreseeable future, but I def know instructors who do this full-time.
I’m considering doing this course I was wondering how long the whole process took you to get qualified start to finish? X
Awesome! After the modules, it took me about 6-8 months after that to complete all my hours and be comfortable with material enough to pass my test out on the first try. But definitely varies person to person
Any recommendations for an online training program? I don't have any offline programs in my country, unfortunately...
I’m only familiar with US-based programs but my program, BASI, does have global reach if you look at their site. Other than that, maybe looking at the closest studios to you and asking where those instructors got their cert would be a good first step.
Wow, very extensive! I'm on a mission to find all of the black YT Pilates instructors, happy to see you!
this warms my heart
Isa Welly, Sabrina Seymore, Maria Earle, Sarita Allen, MickiPhit- there are many that are under the radar, I watch the above teachers classes the most.
@okorolina Thank you! I know about Isa Welly but none of the others you named. ❤️ Pilates by Raven is another that I found about 6 months ago.
This is awesome! I’m an instructor as well. Hi you guys!❤
