actualy lazerovic in uncharted 2 mentions how many people nathan killed just to get to lazarevic his exact words are ''You think i am a monster but youre not different from me drake how many men have you killed ? how many just today,,
i cordially invite all to view my favourite 'movie based on games', boss level (2020) starring frank grillo, which isnt even based on a game lmao. the movie perfectly captures 'replayability' and 'multiple endings' or 'player choice' by groundhog-day-ing the protagonist. i wish to have you react to the movie huhu ps overwatch anime when pps wishing for part 2 of this vid in a few years ppps love ur vids
A video about video game movies that aren’t actually based on video games could be a fun idea for a video. I could fit The Raid and Dredd into that criteria. Also, apparently Edge of Tomorrow is based off a manga, maybe I could do a video for anime adaptions.
Yeah, pretty good points. In a similar vein as Edgerunners, I'd love to see a Wipeout adaptation though. Make it a series in which we don't even ever see a single race, it's all just politics behind the scenes. Which, if you didn't know, the series has plenty. They basically explain the gameplay changes through lore. anyway, you know what's a good video game movie? Sahara which isn't a video game movie at all, it's based on a novel, but it's basically just uncharted
Well made video , you gotta accept that linear narrative driven games are great to be adapted in series, like last of us. Another great example can be Red dead redemption series especially rdr2 , although it is open world its story is very linear and due to r* amazing graphics, watching even only scenes playthrough can also be so satisfying as a series and have impact on audiences . I really somewhere down the line rdr and rdr2 gets its own series or show , i feel like it really resembles breaking bad and better call saul .
Regards how complacent I'd would be to adapt Story driven titles that lingers in the emotionak side, as par a interactive film due to the amounts of cutscenes that use real people on mocaps already, I prefer them for adaptation as it's safer. It's as recording the actors w/o the mocaps and using real sets.
With the recent Disney flops with Star Wars, the most recent idea for me is making a Fallen Order live action; a movie or a series. I think it would be better than most other Disney Star Wars efforts as of late, of course would still need excellent writing.
14:28 that Battlefield 2042 anime poster is fake. The anime girl that's on the fake poster is UMP45 from Girls Frontline, a chinese gacha game about guns and girls and depression.
I'm just happy that anyone found this video now. With Sifu, I wasn't talking about the thematics of the game, of course plenty of kung fu films are about revenge and forgiveness. I was just talking about how games have alternate endings. How playing the game differently (being merciful) changes the story, and how you'd have to act that way to earn the ending. You'd have to learn how to be merciful and I don't think a linear film can teach that as effectively. You can't watch the film, then watch it again for a different ending, or tack on time travel suddenly in the end. But who knows, maybe they'll find a clever way to do that in an adaptation. I'm sure it would be a fun movie regardless.
@@dankym make it so a week after release a different version of the film gets released where everyone is spared after a tough internal conflict about it. could be done better but i think the reviews would look funny
What game do you think wouldn’t make for a good adaptation?
The Legacy of Kain series. No question.
Railroady movie games like some Sony exclusives.

14:07 lol thats a movie
Right, I wanted to find a stock photo of a family. But I do realise now that the photo is from the movie Minari.
I can't believe the best video game film adaptation is Sonic the Hedgehog 2 when that title should clearly go to Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva
