Sometimes I hate the fact that some people justify there fav characters actions like excuses how can you justify your fav character when he tortured a child a literal child like Akutagawa still yerns for dazai's approvel when ever I think about it I want to cry myself to sleep. Even if he's your favorite character it doesn't mean that you can justify his wrong doings
This is not targeted to the creator I'm just saying sorry if I offend anyone I understand that he did that because of the port mafia (not saying that he had another choice maybe in another universe Akutagawa is smiling like a kid is supposed too). Verlaine chose him over Rimbaud when they were taking him from the lab, the flags chose him first (although it cost them their lives), Adam chose him over his orders technically and there’s no real proof that kouyou chooses kyouka over him, just that she’s very close to kyouka😭. Saying dazai has him second choice with oda being first also kinda defeats the point of their relationship, oda and Dazai’s relationship is totally different to chuuya and Dazai’s so it wouldn’t be fair to compare the two and say dazai chose oda over chuuya because he left for odas dying words (something chuuya would empathise with, given his past) and there’s nothing saying that he chose oda over chuuya while in the mafia
