Interesting! I’m looking at putting buckets in my 93 ranger, been doing some research & on the ranger forums everyone says you can just switch the bottom/adjustment rails. Even had pictures of the swap.
Word to the wise: care must be taken when changing mounting points for seat belts. I face smashed into a windshield (producing lots of red bodily fluids from before mentioned face) because the bolt pulled up through the floorboard. I was the passenger. Properly reinforce mounting point. Also, thank you for a very informative, Ranger seat video. Was wondering what was under the seat fabric. How it was constructed. My "98" drivers seat bad. Like the bucket idea. 👍👍👍
Best way to clean without the agitator damaging them is to get a wash tub, 1-cup simple green concentrate to 10-gallons water, soak overnight. Rinse and dry on a clothesline. As to the arm rest. I would make a one-piece bracket using the present seatbelt screws to mount the rest atop.
Thanks Alex. Been a while since I've seen you and really miss seeing your videos. Hope you're well and happy brother. Thanks for all your efforts! I guess the old Toyota pickup is gone. Sniff sniff.
The red Pickup is sold. I did buy an almost identical Pickup. It was originally blue with the same stripes but the previous owner spray bombed it black. I'm hoping to fix the dents and repaint in after a few winter projects around the house.
i literally changed out the buckets for a bench in my 05 b4000, ahah. i wanted to be able to take more passengers. and that center armrest / plastic thing was creaky as hell !!!
Nicely done, both the install and the video. Thanks for not wasting our time waiting while you yak about irrelevant BS!
This is the best video Ive seen on these seat. Thanks
Wow! Great job, not only did you explain clearly but you also made it look doable ...thank you.
Yes please make a video of installing the middle console. Thank. Good video.
Just exactly what I hoped to see!! Well done. I found an all Ford wrecking yard today so I even have a place to look for the seat.
I liking your repurpose skills , great job.
I'll try doing it but I like later model Ranger seats but might use some of the methods
Sir thank you
You're a life saver. Was wondering if this was possible. Thank you.

Hey man, where's your center console video?
i literally changed out the buckets for a bench in my 05 b4000, ahah. i wanted to be able to take more passengers. and that center armrest / plastic thing was creaky as hell !!!
Did you add a console? If so do you have vid for mounting hardware?
welcome back!!
Great video. Thank you!! My seats suuuuuck
Question: could you have swapped the seat bottom with the bottom frame of a passenger side seat?
Nope. Hinge mechanism is mirrored for driver's and passenger's sides.
@@TheAlexManVideos thanks! That helps. I appreciate the help with the 60/40 seats. I’m going to turn mine into a 40/40 with full length console
Do you still have this old ranger I just got 97 i love it
Nope, I sold it.
@@TheAlexManVideos lame haha jk
how wide is it between the seats?
Great job
Will this work with a 1997 ranger?
Alex where's the Murray mudder?
Great video man! Very well explained.
Thumbs up for you my friend.
Question; did you install the center console?
Greeting from Uruguay
I did. It was not filmed.
Its trailer repaired
It's easier to buy another passenger seat and using the drivers bracket, everything bolts right up
Have you actually done that? The seat frame base is not the same left and right. Where the seat back connects and hinges is mirrored left and right.
@@TheAlexManVideos yes I did that you just unbolt the seat rails everything bolts back up and everything works like it should
I prefer no center console.
danny117hd Which is why you watched a 12 min video on how to make one.
Eric Smith to clarify i prefer no center console and no center seat. Im watching the bucket conversion.
I never listen to these face people i just watch with out the vocals
