Overall, 10/10 for what I need.
No idea why this has so many dislikes. You're giving your opinions on the printer you bought as a review should be - no different than what a review would be on an Amazon listing. Hopefully, this printer is working well after 3 years; we're about to pull the trigger on this one for the exact reasons you mentioned in the video.

I just bought this exact model, for practically the same reasons you did. My previous inkjet decides every once in a while to stop grabbing paper, and the only way to fix it is to clean it. Gets tiring. Anyway, I love my new laser (we’ll see how it goes though).

Just picked up one of these for $119 at Staples.ca. I followed the instructions on the quick start guide to go to the website to download the driver but was not able to as the 2390 was oddly not listed as a model number to be selected. Possibly the web site detected that I am using XP and didn't display any models that don't have XP drivers? Anyway I plugged in the USB and let windows set it up and surprisingly it worked beautifully. Even the scanner works. Very happy with the printer so far, and really like being able to print on both sides of the paper.
Totally, right? It's simple and straight forward. We're thrilled to leave the wasteful, annoying, never reliable inkjet printer in the past.
Haha me too same price but from Bestbuy. To set mine up as a wireless device, I hit the Wifi button on the printer and I hit the WPS option on my router and boom connected. I then downloaded the Brother iPrint&Scan app on my phone. Now all my wireless devices can print on the network, Brilliant, during the setup I had to do a firmware update.

What did you download and to where? Are you supposed to be able to add any software to the printer itself? I have the CD in my PC. Shouldn't it have everything I need?

Don't need a scanner or copier so I'm looking at HL-L2350DW which is cheaper and most likely as reliable.

Ink jet printers need to be turned on and off between use. When not in use they need to be turned off or your going to have problems with the print heads drying out. For fine work, use a bubble jet. For office monochrome, use a laser. That simple.

Can you help me print cards please. I got it to print cards and notes in pre-made cards. it should also do index cards. can't find anything on how to do this and i have wasted many cards. thanks, James
Hi, I know it's been awhile since you purchased this and am wondering if you would still recommend it? They are still for sale (229.00 @ best buy in Canada) so I'm seriously thinking of this one to replace my seriously frustrating HP inkjet :) Great review by he way, thanks.
Yeah - it's great still. You won't be disappointed. setting up the wifi is a little annoying but easy to follow tutorials on youtube .. it's only annoying because I had a long wifi password - best of luck!

Where did you buy it for 100$ their like 350$ on Amazon.
You can set up wifi from the device need go to the Menu to the wifi settings. It's a little finiky not very intuitive.

I have the same model does it come with color ink if so how can I get it to print color
Hey there - Good choice, to save some money, Get replacement Toner from InkOwl.com and print till the cows come home -LOL just kidding
But Refill your cartridges instead of buying new ones. InkOwl even stocks replacement drums for laser printers and parts like gears and such for these cartridges. I too got the same model as I too got fed up with dinky units in ink jet printers as they dry up and become pretty expensive - Like $80.00plus for both black and colour and it always happens to never be reliable to when I need it to work that one of the cartridges either runs out or dries up and is need to be changed in order to continue to print just in black
do you know how to set up the scanner??
I believe everything is ready to go and can be manually done via the buttons on the top.
