He would be a successful solo rocker, and he is good at acting on top of that. But, with this comeback he show to everyone, that the idol path he chosed is not a wrong one, and he's so much happier this way

satya diahkusuma i have to thank him for reminding me of that song back then tbh. never found anyone that did justice than jongshin and him performing it was refreshing and i enjoyed it, but the original is unbeatable because of jongshin's country voice and way of singing.
safe to say i was slightly pissed when his version topped melOn when jongshin sang it on knowing bros
i wish him all my luck in whatever he does though, he's one of the very few good vocalists in yg. winner fighting!

T.O.P that's true. that's why himself, seungjae from btob, v from bts seem to have voices loved by many. he seems to be a better vocalist though (unsure about seungjae. v is a rather poor vocalist)
would like him to try lower songs as he tends to sing higher ranged ones, in a nasal and rather strained manner too. sometimes he sounds to me like a tenor with a thicker tone as his lower register doesn't seem to show up much.

The first time I heard Kang Seungyoon’s voice was during his first single Wild and Young but I didn’t find it amusing, he’s good and that’s it. I remember he had some radio guesting during that time and then I can clearly remember the song that made me realize how SUPER GOOD is Seungyoon as a singer that I even consider him as one of the top and my favorite vocals of this generation and the song was Ordinary People by John Legend. I watched it everyday like crazy that’s how I’m impressed. I didn’t know that there can be someone in kpop who have versatile voice like Seungyoon. And then he covered Someone like you by Adele again I was so impressed. And now he just don’t sing rock or ballad but every genre. I hope he can release his solo album again maybe next year 🤗💙
