"he's right behind me isn't he"
These aren't just millennial writers, these are PROGRESSIVE writers. The distinction matters.
Who wrote this elementary school level dialogue ?
Remember when potions were supposed to taste horrible ?
Now they taste like lavender or ginger, to your liking.
"dark fantasy"
Lavender doesn't even taste good. It just smells nice, but taste kinda bitter / earthy (a.k.a. dirt,) like flowers usually do. The writer probably think of "lavender flavoring / coloring" for baking, not the flower.
Ginger is nice tho'.
@@davidsentanu7836 lavender is nice too, i like lavender tea
CAN I GET YOU A LADDER SO YOU CAN GET OFF MY BACK!!!!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
nice reference
The whole game's dialogue indeed feels written like there should be a laughing track after every sentence
Corporate trash with HR's stamp of approval. And shill review scores lol
Taash is one of the biggest, burliest, most macho men in gaming. Oh, sorry. One of the most macho women. Err, uh, most macho theys. I'd better start pulling a barve.
Not even a likeable one all I see of a character is an annoying brat
DROP AND GIVE ME 100
I'm pulling a barf
"No body likes being a woman"...says the she-devil looking thing😂😂
How dare you make it about yourself? Now excuse Taash while she proceeds to rant on how she's non-binary. Sorry, I meant he. Sorry, they. Ahh, now's my turn to pull a barf.
first when I saw these videos I though someone customized main character that way as a joke, but then the horror realization came ... that it might be default look
we wrote a bunch of children trapped in the bodies of adults...
we called it Veilguard; and it was garbage.
criminally underrated video
No wonder Journalists like this game.. There's no challenge to it and Game Journalists HATE challenge.
1:15 This face of the offended child XD
I can't believe there are actual streamers playing it live right now... saying that it's "ok".
The laugh track actually fixes this game...
"A true return to form for Bioware." - GaymsRadar
"9/10" - LieGN
"The companions are made up of complex, memorable, likable, distinct personalities from across Thedas." - Poliegon
"It was the first time my choice felt consequential to my character, to the world around her, and to me as a player." - The Dirge
"5/5" - Eurogaymer.
What I find hilarious is that some of the 10/10 or 9/10 reviews are actually copy-pasted from different outlets.
@@LecherousLizard no need to make up witty commentary when the reality is worse than what any sane person could hope to create as satire.
Moreover there's an actual trøøn at ign reviewing this slop, lol.
I can be shoveled nonsense all day long about how this game is a "Success" by the mob but what they did to the darkspawn and my girl Morrigan is utterly unacceptable.
IGN gave it a 9 btw, if for some reason you thought they weren't a complete joke now everyone knows it.
Why people take them serious at this point? We can probably guess that now.
10 years in development. That's pure passion to accommodate the Modern Audience. 10 years well spent, on nothing.
HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS????? 5+ YEARS????? and you have to pay $70+ for this crap??? - So glad I skipped on this one. You alone have convinced me this was a good decision.
These vids keep getting better and better, keep it up!
"We have realtime baldur's gate at home."
Based on the puzzles alone it shows that this game main target was not adults but children age around 10 - 14 the age where rebelling is high... no wonder the game in almost every scenes the dialogue feels off like something you'd hear a 13 year old arguing with their mom...
Those puzzles are insulting to 10-14 year olds
You can tell the story and script was written by a woman with blue hair.
"woman"
Ahaha "woman"
Y'all are damn pathetic ffs
More like a thing with blue hair.
Lol. Your MC always cracks me up. He looks like a pink haired dollar store version of Glenn Danzig.
They said they're fully committed to the next Mass Effect now, so...this is likely as good as it gets.
Well... sh**
Oh no...oh no! OH NO.

A dragon age game for the fortnite generation 😂
I always appreciate the fact that games from early 2010 are coming back! Such nostalgia...
God I can't with the Qnari redesign. It looks like cosplayers and not particularly good ones.
What did you even expect? Even in Inquisition they had no respect for Qunari, why would it get any better in the next game?
That look in 0:37 said way more than the actual dialogue options. Well done my good fellow
American product, from americans, to americans! Bon apetit! 👨🍳
Bioware is Canadian, get bent
Bioware is Canadian :)
The laugh track section made it all make sense. The game is essentially The Big Bang Theory w/o a laugh track.
I didn't expect Veilguard to be good, but holy hell, it is so much worse than I could have ever predicted. Yet this garbage still somehow has a 74% positive rating on Steam and is apparently selling well. I hate this timeline.
Because most people don't care for the culture war or just follow like blind sheep after what youtubers say. The dialogue is lacking but gameplay has been fun. And I'm saying that as a diehard DA fan. Pretty much all dragon age games have been heavily criticized at launch because it wasn't living up to the standards of Origins.
@@verycoolguy69 I don't care about the "culture war" either so I played it for about 12 hours then finally refunded it, not from Steam luckily. No choices from previous games mattering, only agreeable boring dialogue options, boring repetitive combat, bizarre rip-you-out-of-the--immersion woke dialogue, laughable voice acting, stiff AF facial animations. Even compared to DA:I nah hard pass, eat sh** with your "buy product, get excited for next product" BS
Because a lot of negative reviews are being deleted to maintain a positive score.
Notice that the most upvoted reviews don't actually say a single positive thing about the game. They don't actually check the content of reviews, they just delete them for that >70% score (
@@LecherousLizard 63k online. People are gobbling up this trash, just like Baldur's Gate 3. I weep for our society if trash like is what passes for entertainment.
@@aerondight3029 calling it boring combat when it's the best improvement in the series. Some people just want to be pissed off lol.
I come back to your videos because the face on your Rook is hilarious.
Good old high ground is unbeatable :))
Holy sht that laugh track fits so well...new head canon is they wrote it as a sitcom all along, and would actually LOVE and endorse a mod that adds a laugh track. Someone please do this.
Comedy show within the game
I got Dragon Age Origins for the Xbox since it had a code to get sweet armor for Mass Effect 2. Origins was a fun game. One puzzle I forget how I did it, I never checked online for help. Always something funny and dumb about puzzles, they got to be hard but not too hard.
I don't know why, but your character is great :)
I get Monthy Python vibes off him or something, love it.
2:44 Enemies losing Aggro at that distance in the open is WILD.
They don't even lose aggro, the AI just bugs out and doesn't attack.
@@LecherousLizardThat's kind of what losing aggro is. 😐
Maybe they're familiar with Revenge of the Sith, and know better than to attack someone with the high ground.
Dear NikTek, I am truly sorry but grateful that you are playing or even only cutting the videos of these games so we dont have to experience it
1:31 Why that creature looks like a man but have a female voice?
Because they wanted to make a societal impact instead of making a good game.
Cause they them don't know what man or woman is so they can't get it right
It's _supposed to be_ a female Qunari, though if you were to look at the reference art from all the way back... well, you can imagine it's quite off the mark.
It's are abomination
They want to confuse us, and our kids, while it is in fact, they confuse themselves.
Please keep playing this game! We need more of this.
Love it!!! 😂 no commentary, just let the “game” speak for itself
the drowning makes me thinks about the first AC
The laughter track actually made me giggle.
I understand the enemy AI stopping their assault when you are out of range... but why do your allies stop too?
"He has the high ground! Retreat!"
Failguard enemies, apparently.
if there is one visual I hate in games its bloom, it usually looks bad and they have added so much bloom that it might as assume the entire game is underwater
Honestly, the dialog is hilarious with the laugh track😂. Someone should make it a mod
Devs: how bad you want it?
Producers: to the point even the dei maniacs hate it
Devs: damn we gonna need more rainbow hairs for that sir
No amount of mods can fix this madness.....
Nice vid +1
RIP BioWare
Rest in pizza if this is their mindset. I hope ubisoft and bethesda joints them.
The laugh track fits perfectly. Imagine someone made a mod for this, it might actually make this game a classic.
Why is there a Chinese Elf? Did She came from Jade Empire? Although there was no Elves in Jade Empire, if it takes place in the same world of Dragon Age?
Lol there is also a sub-Saharan African elf 🤣
I mean, that isn't even really a problem. My question is: Why does she look like she fell into the -magic potion- vat of botox when she was a little girl?
Heard that East Asians (looking people) basically don’t exist in universe and are only thought to look like that as they live on some far away continent. Id est, she’s only there for a Inclusivity Checkbox.
Laugh track really puts it into perspective
A laugh track during the cutscenes would be better than its surreal out of place background music during interactions.
no lie, that laugh track helped the comedy A LOT 😂
Looks like we gonna have another concord, well if this game wasnt online but its gonna just be kept away to dust
Like in dustborn?
@@anshukandulna1844 Funny that you mention that. Just saw on Steam earlier that Dustbin is now on sale for 50% off. Brought a grin to my face. I wonder if they can finally crack 100 players with this sale 😅
