Nice finds. I would have grabbed those ambrosia and john lennon records. The dollar bin at my local record store is usually a hit or miss. A lot of times its the same stuff but ive found a lot of great 80s new wave and classic rock like Eddie Money, Rolling Stones, Doobies, BTO, Johnny Hates Jazz, Simple Minds, Inxs, Journey, Eagles, Michael Jackson ETC.
Thanks! Tiger Records usually has some killer dollar bin LPs every time I stop in, not to mention a huge selection of new releases and rare records. Appreciate hearing about your experiences out there too 👍🏼 more coming soon!
Yes, I believe there is an LP for Jack Teagarden Big Band in the video, not sure where, but I remember seeing that at the store. Thanks for spotting that!
That Arsonists album looks interesting; I'm not familiar with them. I got a laugh seeing The Flying Lizards album. I was just transferring new wave cuts from a compilation to iTunes, and one of their songs was among them. I'd recommend the Lyle Mays album if you chance to see it again. Great pick with the legendary "The Who Sell Out." Also Rush. I don't know how it is in Colorado, but I'm amazed at the number of young adults here who like Sinatra.
Appreciate the tips! I did grab RUSH A Farewell To Kings for $20 and it was a super clean gatefold copy that I needed for my collection of RUSH albums. I love The Who and I had never seen the Arsonists before this video. Always find some unusual and much needed vinyl records at Tiger Records, one of my favorite record stores.
Wow, I should have grabbed that one, I have so many LPs in that genre for sale that I have pretty much stopped buying them but I appreciate the tip on that LP!
