Real butter! Yes! 2.07 USD for 250g pricier than I'd hoped, but it's butter, so it's still totally worth it. 100 USD a month for only part of the electricity? That can't possibly be real, can it? I live alone in my house in Canada where I have extreme expenses for heating, and it costs me much less than that. In all of the videos I saw about this subject, people always said it cost around 20-25 USD a month in Ecuador for a single person or a couple. Double that if you live on the coast and use AC. You're right, costs will vary immensely between people. My estimate does not add up to the same amount at all.

Nice video. How many liters do you get for $5? Here in Sweden you only get about 3 liters for that. Insanely expensive. Furthermore its mixed up with 6-10% of ethanol, supposed to be for the environment, but the effeciency with the ethanol make it so that one has to use more gas per km, so in the end, one uses more gas . Wow, $5 haircut. When I lived in the states, I could get a haircut for 15, but then some tip and it was about $18. In Sweden my cut is about $45, but that includes all taxes and we dont do tipping. Our chips is definatly cheaper, $2.5 for a 2 liter bag. Bar of soap is unusual here, one really need to look and go to several stores to find it. It is almost only in liquid for nowadays unless buying some artisan soap. Transportation. A lot of people will walk or bicycle to work or grocery shopping here unless you have a car. the bus system is pretty good, if you live in town, but sucks if your out in the country side. If you are retired, you can go within quite a large area completly free on the bus and some of the trains, I am talking like a radius of 50km. Few people go by taxi and uber, well, apart from Stockholm I think it is outlawed. Phonebill, what do you get for those 15 dollars? Can you call and text free within all of Ecuador? Do you call text free in Manabi? How much data do you have? Do you have a limit on hotspotting? I pay about $30 a month, I call and text for free within Sweden, If I am in any EU country or Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Norway, Iceland, or Aaland Islands I call and text Sweden for free as well as the country I am in. I can also have up to 5 numbers connected to me that I can call text for free whatever country they are in, or I am in, the world. Got unlimited data, no hotspot limits in Sweden but as soon as I leave Sweden I "only" have 100Gb a month. We cant get $2.50 meals in Sweden, even if bringing ones own box. Sometimes at lunch one can find $8-9 meals that include drink, sallad buffet but normally everything is $10 here or more, even for takeout. Alot of bred for $2, love it. Here it has gotten a bit expensive. I started baking my own bread after I moved home from Mexico. I calculated with everything, including the electric of my stove and I am landing on about 1/4 to 1/3rd of the cost compared to buying it. It depends on what kind of bred one makes. In the winter it will be more effective as I will not exhaust vent the heat from the oven but use it as a fraction of house warming lol. Credit cards are good to have but can easily become a trap. I try to use it only to get the points/credits on my card. I get bonus cheques sent to me. But I always know how much I purchased, I put that amount away on a separate account and I pay the bill as soon as it arrives. Manporcar seems to be a good service, I seen similar things in Africa. I seen before that your family uses a massive amount of garlic powder. May I ask why you just dont use real garlic instead? Price? IMHO real garlic, fresh, is so much better. $237 for a gaming chair is a lot if it is not a well known brand for quality and comfort. So, do I understand it right that if you turn something back, you dont get credit on your debit card or cash back??? Is this only this store or in general? Maybe you should make a video about what is your consumer rights in Ecuado??? Like do you have open purchase, like, if you turn it in within 10 days you get money back? Or if the cashier can write on your recepit and extend the open purchase? What is the general rule of warranty/guarantee? Is it different in different segments? Does a company have the same consumer rights as a private consumer? Things like that. I bet you be the only one of all the Ecuador expat creators that has a clip like that but I am sure people would be interested. Sorry about your motorcycle accident. And sorry you had to buy a new mirror but that is not a big deal compared to how bad it could have been. Many times one can just go to the glass company and they can cut out a mirror in your size that one can fit with some glue. But if the mirror is totally damaged, that wont help. Protection body. I know you got a helmet and yes, that is protection item number 1 when driving a motorcycle. Protection item number 2, I would let it be motorcycle gloves. I mean reall motorcycle gloves. 90% of the time, a motorcyclist in an accident will reach out and try to protect oneself with the hands. That is why gloves is so important. Then, I would go for a back pad, a protector for your spine. Or good motorcycle boots. Just saying. The thing you ask for about the breaks is the break pads. It is the part of the breaks that wear the most. Good to service your bike. How is it in Ecuador? Do you have local manufacturers like in Mexico or is it all Japanese and Chinese bikes? My phone bill includes: •150 minutes (to other operators), 0 of which are long distance •Unlimited calls (to other Claro numbers) •16GB (internet access) •200 messages •0 roaming My internet plan: •550Mb •an extender to amplify the signal (which we had to ask for separately) When it comes to the cash back situation, I’ve never really gone through it because most places are pretty picky about what you can and can’t do. What I will say for now (before investigating for a video) is that at least on the two latest occasions I’ve done it in “formal stores” I’ve only gotten credit that can only be used in store. Most of the cheaper options for servicing vehicles are definitely informal places, and most of them tend to be reliable. There are of course the dealerships and authorized places but you normally only go there when your car still has that warranty. And not offended at all, my bike is only about 110cc. The consumption isn’t terrible especially for what I use it for but I feel like something is off with the bike or I’m just moving around a lot more since I’m spending almost $5-7 per week now. I wouldn’t be the right person to tell you about Sangria since I don’t drink but my friends seem to like it. The type of vacation I got is a little different from the longer end of year vacation but from what I know (or at least understand) we have about 10ish days of vacation sprinkled throughout the year. Still with your relatives lodging, is not bad, becuase is less than $1000 a month, these means, that a single person, with no vices can live there with $1000 dollars, provided he is not a womanizer nor a drinker, too bad that the retirement visa require you to have more than $1,500 a month to qualify for it, regard from Boston MA!!
