I do think that a mobage for Weiss would be the best way forward and it would definitely make alot of money. The problem tho is the pacing of Weiss Schwarz as a paper TCG would make the mobile ver. unlikely to be feasible, development-wise. WS JP for example cooks up like 2-3 sets a month (around 300 cards). That would be quite a surmountable amount of QA required to ensure all cards work as intended (including the small quirks). I would definitely love it to be real, and I would downright pay for it, but, it might as well be a new format entirely, and I'm not sure if it'll ever keep up with paper. Alternatively, if it's a cut down format where their fav IP is not on it, I'm not sure if it'll capture a good enough demographic to compensate for the risk. For example, Aniplex might just refuse all their IPs on mobile WS simply because it'll severely undermine Build Divide.
Agreed, I feel they would have mostly work with older sets first. Maybe using the paper version as test playing to see what combos players come up with. Yugioh does something kinda similiar for Master Duel.
In the survey they did a while back i mentioned that they should make an online client or even just a game like the shadowverse game or they could port the PSP game to nintendo switch/pc at the very least (with online capability). I would prefer an online client as there is no weiss community in my city and i have tried getting one going but no luck in that so i would definitely play the online version if they would make it. I would even be willing to pay a monthly fee if that would be needed to keep it running.
