Anyway, with the Help of Elmesia at Gazel they were able to acquire enough Dwargon coins and pay those merchants. As a payback, Rimuru announced they won't do any business to those merchants anymore, they retaliated and that's where Rimuru said "Trust is a two way street" and told them Tempest can't trust merchants who not only don't follows their rules but also just don't trust their nation at all. As a merchant, its the ultimate loss on their part, considering after the festival, Tempest is basically center of the world's economy with how advance and rich their resources were.

Rimuru told all the merchant traders to scram. since they were being unruly. knowing fully well that trust is a "two way street." since how could merchants "trust" monsters for business. yet, the merchant were causing the problem? so how can tempest "trust" them for business, even if its ploy from someone else? all merchants at that moment knew they were screwed, since tempest was gonna be an economical hub.

I mean I remember another Hero in another series who's heroic ability was essentially something that makes everyone obey him or just at the very least do what he wanted at the time so I'm assuming this is similar to that in regards to making people just empty minded and easily persuaded and this is just it leaking out imagine if it was at full force but then again it's hard to tell if rimuru was naturally affected due to his demon lord standing or if others were but I'm assuming it was a hero vs demon lord thing where it was just naturally active because by definition he is something a hero would go against thus the aura was most likely an automatic deployment but we'll have to see what happens since it seems only rimuru was affected
