Creating Lattice Structures in NX CAD

I can create a lattice structure in NX, and then I export it into a .step file model .But when I import it into hypermesh or abaqus to calculate, I can only see the solid , the lattice structure disapear. How can I deal with this problem.

how to select the empty volume??...in my case i cannot able to select it

I think you should create a new volume.

It is not possible to machine... Only 3d printing is a possible way of doing it
