I recognise that field and road! I drive past there every time I go to Crediton. I live about three miles north of there. Those heifers are out there quite a bit of the winter from memory.

I like that you have gone to a farm so focused on pasture! Good training for when you more to the southern hemisphere 😜 have you started guessing covers of the paddock as you go to get your eye in? Love the physical data stuff, how many ton a year can you grow in that area?

Yeah I have a little guess each paddock before measuring! Some times I’m closer than others! 😂 I’d have to ask Rob or look on agrinet to see what they grew last year!

Another interesting video Josh and loved hearing about the grass management and analytics, which is important in today's world where small adjustments in how the business is run can make massive improvements to yields, cow health and overall profitability. Knock 10 to 15% off the grass reading for cow pats and soiled grass they won't graze to be more accurate on grass availability . The Gallagher reel is the best for strip grazing, it has the clip to hold it on the wire and uv protect plastic, so it doesn't break as easy as the cheap one's.

When i was agricultural college a friend worked on a veg farm and all thefields were named after people. He asked why the manager said simple they are named after the last person to die in the field.😢
