People are amazed at him having that dude jump off the balcony onto his chest. Fair enough. But did you see him talk over the narrator? Now that was a power move.
I watched this movie a lot when i was a kid in the 80's and 90's. I Love Martial arts and after the movies of Bruce Lee, there where these kinds of old school Martial arts movies my favourites.
They all thought the weak point had to be his throat, but it was the inside of his throat they had to attack. Very ingenious. Reminds me of Wu-Tang Vs Ninja. Abbot White's weak point was the inside of his throat too.
Abbot White from Wu-Tang Vs Ninja a.k.a Ninja Hunter was probably based on the villain from Born Invincible seeing that Mark and Jack Long also starred in this movie and Wu-Tang Vs Ninja
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Going to shout that next time I punch someone, sure it will hurt more lmao I adore classic fu - Born Invincible is such a fun flick
"when tai chi is mastered, the body changes too. the voice becomes high in pitch and strange to the ear...." no...it's because dude is gettin blasted in the balls with metal spiked club!
Yeah it may look fake, with the weapons and stuff, but what always gets me is when that guy jumps him. Now, he pretty much lands on him there, and that could have broke his rib cage, total Shaolin type stuff.
I love it, what a film.. Probably my favorite Kung Fu movie, one of the best.. I actually feel bad for the old man and the girl "Dad! Dad!" :'( Superb action though, from the guy who did The Matrix!
The only one thing I really had a problem with in this movie was the slide whistle sound effect every time he "activated" his invincibility. The first time or two would have been ok, or maybe an ominous note on a piano, but the slide whistle was just too much.
proper proper PROPER quality film, not seen it in ages but definitely has to be there up there for the best intros, possibly 5 venoms matches it but i love the explanation lol i love the white haired nun that's in it later who helps them work out how to kill carter wong
Dude, I wish... most people just thought I was plain weird trying to speak in a high pitched voice and making wind sound effects whilst thrashing my arms about. Anyway, if you're interested, another one that I thought was pretty cool as a kid was "18 Bronze Men". It also features Carter Wong. Some of Jackie Chan's old stuff like the "Fearless Hyena" (I think that was the name), Meals on Wheels and his "Police Story" series were also pretty cool.
I'm not saying you're a racist, but surely T'ai Chi is the most UNDERrated martial art ever. Most people think it's relaxation for bored middle-aged housewives when it's actually a brutal and supremely efficient fighting system.
@FuriousGibbon it literal translation is "Supreme Ultimate Fist". but i have never heard the it should make the hair white or make the voice hige pitched. is it T'ai Chi or a fictional style in the movie?
@fadedproductionsVX martial arts are not about killing or getting yourself killed but they are self defence and understanding your self and your potential better and of course to improving yourself too.
The difference between good martial arts movies, and regular movies is that the actors are not really acting as far as the techniques. They are real! Serious practitioners should consider researching these techniques. One good source for authentic Iron Shirt is Taoist Master Mantak Chia. Practitioners may want to consider becoming acquainted with equivalent techniques being practiced in other regions. For example, a student may benefit by comparing Western exercises such as the Circulation of the Body of Light exercise to the Taoist Microcosmic Orbit. These exercises are very similar to those expounded by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn (in the West). Both systems may be viewed as Internal Martial Arts, or Inner Alchemy.
Great movie ! It's funny how people who can't fight & don't train our big non believers in folks who train & can really hurt u", & they can do it very quickly", the hand has always been quicker than the eye.
@jere3416 I thought maybe they ment something other. I doubt they had Doping like we do now , 1000 years ago. So i wanted to know if there is anything documented what they mean. Maybe its some natural special pills.
When I die, I want this guy to do my eulogy.... and just make up shit I never did to make me sound *EPIC*
You die yet?
exactly
"The Earth's fundemental forces are tapped via the 8 octagrams." Word! Classic and scrumptious Kung fu goodness!
When I die, I want this voice to do my funeral
People are amazed at him having that dude jump off the balcony onto his chest. Fair enough. But did you see him talk over the narrator? Now that was a power move.
The fist become - YAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Carter Wong ages quickly from 3 years old to 60 within 3 minutes here.
He who would Attack the Tai Chi Kung Fu............Must expect to Die
0:23 out of all of the requirements, I would only be able to bathe in the secret lotions. Lol
These movies are basically documentaries about martial arts styles.
Indeed they are my friend.
He is a legend in Kung Fu classics
The finger becomes like steel, the feet steady as rock the kicks are like thunderbolts, the fist can break stone!!!!
Carter Wong is one of the "3 storms" in "Big Trouble in Little China" ...CLASSIC find
That's where i recognize him from...🎉
I watched this film at least fifty times as a kid... Awesome. It's a bit dated now and ... ridiculous but great to see it again Thanks for uploading.
he needs to fight the "Toad" OH YEA!!!!
That would be a classic battle.
1:47 He look crazy asf doing that
This is incredible!
so chuck norris was one of the few who survived this, along with bruce lee, pai mei, and the most interesting man in the world.
Probably the Best Carter wong villaing movie ever !
I love this film, easily one of the best Kung Fu ficks IMO..
All I see is Hung Gar techniques :P
I watched this movie a lot when i was a kid in the 80's and 90's. I Love Martial arts and after the movies of Bruce Lee, there where these kinds of old school Martial arts movies my favourites.

@Bazz7999 Yeah, Carter Wong is the man too. I was watching "Big Trouble in Little China" not too long ago. One of my favorite films.
I ascended to Super Saiyan 2 for the first time after watching this video. I was eating cereal and cocoa puffs went flying everywhere
I have been looking for this obscure movie opening I saw as a kid for probably 20 years
wait a min did that dude just jump on his chest..wtf
This is an awesome movie. I got it from Amazon.
Wow, that's awesome. I want to see this movie right now!
..you must bathe in the secret lotions..lol

That's the guy that explodes in Big Trouble in Little China!
this is some CRASY STUFF right here!
They went back in time to the 1950s to find the narrator. He used to work as a narrator on our school film strips.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Going to shout that next time I punch someone, sure it will hurt more lmao I adore classic fu - Born Invincible is such a fun flick
invincible dude is desperately trying to self-harm. a real tragedy.
you made my day, dude.
Always remember if you or others you know shows signs of self harm speak to them of suicide. You can save a life.

Wow. Speechless
I've always wondered what this movie actually has do with Tai Chi. Other than the Pa Qua🤔
Hes definitely doin hung ga
He who would attack the Tai-Chi Kung Fu must expect to die... : ) (much rank)
I break plenty of jars and dishes and I can't even do kung fu!
this movie rocks, seen in many times, and yes its the best intro of any KF film, except 5 Deadly Venoms of course
hahahahaha, love this
specially the old effects
make it look so fake
"when tai chi is mastered, the body changes too. the voice becomes high in pitch and strange to the ear...."
no...it's because dude is gettin blasted in the balls with metal spiked club!
1:13 he totally interrupts the narrator! HAAAAAAAA!!! YOUUUUUUUUUAAAA!!
NO ONE IS SAFE !!!
Yeah it may look fake, with the weapons and stuff, but what always gets me is when that guy jumps him. Now, he pretty much lands on him there, and that could have broke his rib cage, total Shaolin type stuff.
Having two guys hit you all over your body with those gigantic spiky metal clubs is enough for me to see how invulnerable he is.
WHAT A GREAT FILM ..
I love it, what a film.. Probably my favorite Kung Fu movie, one of the best.. I actually feel bad for the old man and the girl "Dad! Dad!" :'( Superb action though, from the guy who did The Matrix!

Great circus act.👏👏👏
this was called the "young hero of sholin" in china when it came to the US it was re-named born invincible
0:54
Hallmark of a brilliant movie.
proper proper PROPER quality film, not seen it in ages but definitely has to be there up there for the best intros, possibly 5 venoms matches it but i love the explanation lol
i love the white haired nun that's in it later who helps them work out how to kill carter wong
This intro is my favorite of all :(
loool, the first kid is mini feng wei
this movie is bad ass
This movie deserves a 4K release on the big screen! 😁
In case anyone wanted to know, I'm pretty sure Carter Wong is performing sections of the tiger and crane form from hung gar.
IT IS THE IRON EMO!!!
Dude, I wish... most people just thought I was plain weird trying to speak in a high pitched voice and making wind sound effects whilst thrashing my arms about.

until he hardens his eyes, he's not invincible.
This was awesome, but I laughed hard at mastery of Tai Chi giving people a "volatile personality".
IMMENSE!!
I'm not saying you're a racist, but surely T'ai Chi is the most UNDERrated martial art ever. Most people think it's relaxation for bored middle-aged housewives when it's actually a brutal and supremely efficient fighting system.
@1:44, "The hair loses color and becomes like snow"........ So you mean to tell me that they become Super Saiyans... LMAO!
@FuriousGibbon it literal translation is "Supreme Ultimate Fist". but i have never heard the it should make the hair white or make the voice hige pitched. is it T'ai Chi or a fictional style in the movie?
what is truly funny is that there was no display of tai chi anywhere in this clip
haha the slide whistle
well, few even qualify or have the strength to learn TAI CHI KUNG FU. this quite possibly has the best lines in any kung fu movie!
@mmayan do you mean the hair or the power or both?
what style of kung fu dose he do when he(s using the rings on his legs and hands
@cosminso1230 cool, but is it suppose to turn your hair white and srew your voice box? it sounds weird.

very nice.
Will them make me invunerable... except for a little pressure point that will reveal itself only in certain hours of the day?
HISATSU!

these are the best comments I have ever seen :)
Great movie ! It's funny how people who can't fight & don't train our big non believers in folks who train & can really hurt u", & they can do it very quickly", the hand has always been quicker than the eye.
Hold the hell up! Isn't this the guy who played Thunder in Big Trouble in Little China?
lol!
this is the baddest karate movie funny in just incredible the white hair in the white clothes on tops it XD.. in the voice like a mouse...
This is why they’d never allowed any Tai Chi masters to fight in the UFC. Too dangerous
@jere3416 I thought maybe they ment something other. I doubt they had Doping like we do now , 1000 years ago. So i wanted to know if there is anything documented what they mean. Maybe its some natural special pills.
29 people realise that if you put this guy in the ufc octagon he'll get his ass handed to him
bad ass!
:54.......speechless!!
his voice in this is hilarious
@AnotherAvenger that joke has gone and went
