- HELLO!!! today i am finally sharing a huge hair transformation with my salon @lv1.studio and @dearmiju ! i had almost 5 months of grown out roots since quarantine started, and my salon reopened following new safety procedures. we spent about 5 hours bleaching my roots and doing a new color, orange! i’m so happy with this change, it’s so perfect for summer 🧡 thank you for watching & see you guys again next week!
disclaimer: there were a few weeks where some stay at home laws in california were lifted and the salon legally reopened after following new safety procedures. i believe they're closing down again because stay at home laws are being reimplemented by the state. we filmed this video during the time that the salon was allowed to stay open.

this color is everything!! orange is such an underrated hair color
meika moon a lot of people stay away from it because most shades looks as failed bleached hair or it just clashes with someone’s skin.

Love the colour 😍 have you considered going to some imunologist because of the allergy? I did dye my hair for 10 years with chemical dyes and then started getting allegies and got anaphylactic shock which was really scary. Found out later it can be deadly so please be careful! Allergies can be on bay and then dissapear or get really bad. (dying my hair only with henna since then)
You should use antihistamines before your appointment. Your allergy could end with an anaphelactic Shock when you have such Bad reactions by just washing out the bleach

Hey I have a question: if the application of the bleach takes an hour, aren't the first pieces lighter that the last pieces? Or how do you prevent this?
Applying bleach bottom to top (and doing it fast) is the key because hair at the bottom is slightly darker than top AND the scalp heat is different at the top and the bottom so bleach reacts differently

I don't think they should be offering a bleach service at all if they know she has had a reaction, once someone is sensitised reactions can get more serious.

Maybe do a look where only your tips are colored or maybe an ombré ? Or little highlights there are a lot of options but only coloring the tips is very low commitment because you can always cut off the ends and recolor them a different color
You can try a peek-a-boo hairstyle! Look it up on google, you basically dye only the under part of your hair

Maybe try taking an over the counter allergy medication before processing, I think it would really help!

@@asmokeus IT WAS STILL NOT SAFE TO GO OUT? our government is not keeping us safe? many other states have skyrocketting cases but we are still allowed to go out even though we should not be? just because it was legal does not make it ok? also I am specifically saying that this video encourages others to go outside and make similar decisions even though again our governement does not have our best interest in mind and it is dangerous to do so right now

the wet brush is amazing for thin long hair in general, its so gentle that if you comb through it with your fingers first you'll only need a couple brush strokes to get your hair all sorted out with no pulling or scratching. if you have any complaints at all with your current brush then consider getting one
You should take an antihistamine like Benadryl before bleaching to reduce the risk of swelling and hives associated with your bleach allergy.
really love it! I really like this orange color. But I can't find a similar color. I think that like you, I will have to go to an aesthetic.
Have you thought of doing back to back sliced foils on your hair instead of free handing the lightener on? Just because it did look like while it was processing there was some lightener that actually touched your scalp around the front (I could be wrong though). With sliced foils it would practically be the same process, but the stylist would take finer sections and it would stop the lightener from coming into contact with you scalp at all. I'm a stylist and I have a client that gets the exact same reaction from lightener that you do, so we do the sliced foils and she has never have a reaction since (even when the lightener slightly touches her scalp as it is washed off).
