Honda CB 350 H'ness First Ride Review: It's Not Perfect, But Comes Very Close

- Опубліковано 20 жов 2020
- Finally, after booking the Honda Highness CB 350 or as Honda calls it, the H’ness CB 350 (Stupid name, yes), I finally took delivery of the bike today. Mind you, don’t be misled into thinking this is my motorcycle - this is my uncle’s motorcycle and will be used by him to commute to work five days a week.
However, I will be keeping this motorcycle with me for a week and understanding what the fuss is all about. Is it really a Royal Enfield Classic 350 killer? We shall find out soon enough.
I plan to do a proper review of this motorcycle, check its fuel efficiency, suspension, ergonomics, pillion comfort, how it is to ride two-up etc etc.
So, tune in and wait for more.
If you’d like to know more about me or about my motorcycles, you can check out my Instagram page here: / abhinavbhatt19
Have a nice day.

First owner to review*
No doubt
Still watching this video even after owning the H'ness more than a month. Just H'ness things 👍
Hi, Could you please share your genuine review about this bike? In terms of economy, comfort, Maintenance cost, etc. How much do you spend monthly on this bike?
Mee too Mee too me too 😂😂
@@ViditKothari It's a good bike to have for city ride and occasional trips. It requires little bit attention about lubrication periodically. Feels good power while riding. Less fatigue for long time. Good for off-road but just need little bit care. Maintenance cost is bit more than Meteor but really worth it. Suspension are bit stiff which are good for off-road but not good for speed breaker so you need to shift gears in between at beginning, later you will learn to do it on second or even on third gear. I get average of 36.
@@TheSidgame Great! Thanks for the review. Appreciate it 😊
I am 6'2 and 80% of my driving is in city traffic, is this bike a good option for me?
The Indians seem to have a very honest genuine view of bikes . I respect that . I've got a harley and moto guzzi , had one bike under 750 cc out of about 20 . When I saw this bike I was impressed and it just felt a good bike . It appeals to me .
It is my friend.

After almost waiting for over 18-19 months I finally bought this bike. This bike doesn't feel heavy when you are riding it.
I've just clocked it 200km and I'm not opening full throttle till 1st service. But I feel so comfortable, relaxed and that thump at 40, 50 kmph is just 🔥. Loving every moment on this black machine. 😍
Did you faced any paint chiping issue in bike.
@@sonujoshi7268 No, not at all!!
Hey Guys,
I just test ride CB 350, only few distance. Today.
1) Bike is really really lightweight as compared to 350cc. I felt like riding my previous Yamaha 150cc bike.
2) Pick up is just awesome, bike pulls very easily.
3) Excellent maneuverability, Handle is light you do not feel weight.
4) Gear position is different from Thunderbird so it took sometime to find gear twice. But I never ride any other bike in last five years other than Thunderbird so I had little problem. I can get use to it., will need practice. :)
5) I only went up to 60-70 kmph , there were no vibrations.
But I would say one could easily ride this bike in city as well as highway.
Incidentally I found one guy riding CB 350 on the way to Honda showroom and I stopped him in between.
He took delivery yesterday only and he was also happy, bike is smooth and said there are no vibrations.
Just watched 30+ min and didn't feel bored even for a sec. Idk why🙄 maybe it's the love for bikes or maybe how Abhinav expresses his reviews. Just love it ❤️

@@RANA-fb9qx Honda products may lack features but they will never lack quality and reliability
I wouldn't go that far actually... CB350 seems like really well built machine but Honda also came out with the Stunner... The quality on that bike was much below Honda's standards.
Love your excitement riding the bike ! Perfect, simple first look impression of the CB350 👍
Thanks man!
When a Tiger 1200 owner appreciates a small capacity bike and actually loves it....that says something about the bike. But Honda's going to deprive a huge population with sales and service confined to BigWing. Or maybe this is just a warning bell to the competition.
I was going to buy a RE Classic but then Honda appears with this beautiful bike, now I hope this bike can arrive here in America and get this lovely bike.
You are better off buying a current bike instead of waiting for Honda to sell this version in the US. It might not even happen because you already have Meteor. Why not check out the RE Interceptor? There are quite a few happy owners in the US. Head over to /r/royalenfield on reddit.
@@PD-dj7cu Yeah, Interceptor is a good choice. I should take a test ride and check it out, thanks!
It doesn't comply with us emissions. This is a India specific motorcycle. Honda focuses on 750cc + motorcycles in USA because most people want big bikes.
@@nikhilpatil7218you're right, maybe that's why RE is focusing on 500cc +

True.
But still doesn't look half good as classic
Classic 350 is by far the best looking standard motorctcle in the market. But it is now too damn common. No matter how good looking you're, but as they say,"familiarity brings contempt."
On the other hand Honda is a beautiful looking motorcycle and is fresh. That itself is going to be a big factor.

every Motorcycle in this segment has a big set back -
RE : Vibration
Jawa : quality, network
Honda H'ness : BigWing

HUQSVARNA !!
Why is BigWing a set back? Just asking cuz am thinking of buying this bike.
@@allanjacob5087 first, not every city has a BigWing. There is only one BigWing in Kolkata which is 40 kms from my place.
2nd, every BigWing has it's own service centre. If u buy a Motorcycle from a BigWing, you will have to service from it's service centre only. That's a monopoly. So, if I buy ir from Kolkata BigWing and later don't find their service satisfactory, I will have no choice.
This is a big big set back.
@@allanjacob5087 Because BigWings are very limited in number. So if you are living in a small town you would not have access to one. Even people living in Delhi have to travel to Gurgaon to access a BigWing - Imagine that !

Nice content dude. From the sounds of it, it's a stable product from Honda without any major issues at first. Let's hope the parts other than the engine last long.
every single minute of the Video was Interesting & was happy to see you Owning this Bike... Congracts Abhinav For the New Bike
Thanks bro
It's brutally frank review, unlike auto magazine reviews where final verdict is always 'cat on the wall'.
Abhinav, I agree with you on soooo many points.
1. Big wings need sale, I understand. But to get into RE’s market share, Honda needs to increase the availability of this amazing machine.
2. I was a bit dubious about the thump, but after this review, damn I like it. It’s actually there.
3. When I was watching during the initial minutes, I was thinking what I would have named it, because the highness name truly doesn’t fit. Especially, with the apostrophe. However, I’m not sure about the CB350 either, because they already had a classic model called CB350 with twin exhaust. Probably a 2-stroke. I’m not very sure though.
4. The badging feels a little out of place given that massive Honda branding on the tank, in that classic font. I would have liked something written in that particular font for the badging as well.
5. The design is definitely for a mature audience. I love it. That protruding tail lamp from the side profile, that tank dimension, the handlebars, seats - they just seamlessly fit in unison. Speaks perfection. That being said, I like the colour of the pro models better than the ones in the standard ones. Pure Japanese classic! Not everyone can appreciate it. Certainly, not the lot who like Hero Xtreme 160R!
6. The speedo dial is a miss for me though. Had there been twin dials like the RE’s 650s, that would’ve been a cherry on top.
Coming to the ‘make a request’, please upload one video with just pure sound of the engine. I don’t know if that’s too much to ask for. Please do, if possible. Possibly on a highway. 😍
Thanks mate!
Edit: I corrected the numbering. 😝
After watching you ride it in the city I think you could have dropped down a gear the whole time and had a better experience. I agree with you the sound is amazing I loved it too. I think this might be the perfect city bike for me, and we all should realize that our own riding techniques are ours, and ours alone. I currently have a 650 Vulcan S and Love it, but it's not a "City bike" by any means. Great review I have come to appreciate your reviews as real-life riding experiences. I live in the Philippines and we have the complete opposite comparisons when it comes to Honda dealers VS. Royal Enfield. there are only a few RE dealers here but fortunately, we have both right here in my city. Service is not an issue for me, with that said I think the Honda beats out the RE ever so slightly but I am leaning towards the Honda CB 350 at this point. Thanks for a great review.
An excellent honest ride review. I look forward to hearing more from you on this bike. Good job on the video.

Very enjoyable review - good to have simple, honest first impressions of a new bike. Amazed that you were able to speak calmly while filtering through that traffic! (I'd want a bit more protection than shorts and T shirt, though). That exhaust note sounds fantastic and the bike looks great. Even the cow at 26.20 looked impressed! I hope Honda bring this bike to the European market. There is undoubtedly a demand for it as a commuter or a gentle weekend back roads tourer - but, yes, agreed, the daft name needs to go! Thanks for being the first (I think) to give us a proper review of this exciting new model.
Jane, you probably wouldn't believe this, but I went to the showroom earlier that day to try for an early delivery in even lesser clothing. Hahahahahaha. I believe Honda will bring a slightly bigger CB to Europe. It's too crucial a market for Honda to ignore.
