Awesome deal Kameron! You can almost never go wrong buying in bulk like this. I was really angling for those large letter greetings for myself. You will do extremely well. I do have to say it though: 24,000 postcards? Those are rookie numbers, you gotta pump those numbers up!
Congrats on the buy! You're gonna do fantastic with it, no question about it. RPPC's - if the people are identified on the back, they tend to sell very quickly from my experience. I think you could make your money back in a couple months if not sooner.
Great for you Kameron!! Those ship RRPCs and Photos etc. I sell between 6.00 - 8.55 average all the time. I like these type of videos! I do not do many RRPCs that often, but I tend to look for Places instead of people. Some of those Large Letter ones might be really good I would take my time with each one. From experience with larger hauls as you go thru them you will create a system or a routine and then probably change it up a little as you go which to me is normal. You have seen my method "List - No List - Special Folder Research" What I heard you were thinking about, I would probably start with something like piles of "eBay List - WhatNot - Lot Up - Special Folder Research" Than put the piles back in boxes and mark them. Just a thought. Thanks for the video! Good luck you did good!
Congrats on the buy! I deal in mostly RPs and although those people ones will sell in groups you definitely want the identified places for the best money... Looks like you have some listing to do! Best of luck. Kevin
NICE!!! It's always exciting getting a huge source lot. Mostly it's someone else's quarter box, but 100% of the time you will eventually make a profit. It's the ride along the way that dictates the value vs time for the buy. And with the rise of UA-cam content, it appears really easy to unload trash to the groupies on WhatNot. Can't wait to see the updates.
Parker, I have 2 Hotel Goodman postcards from around 1910'ish or so. They seem to sell for anything from 70 bucks to almost 90. Do you, or anyone else here know why they would go for this much money? Lol, I'm not complaining. I also have a girl scout postcard and one with 2 black children, entitled the fortune teller or the palm reader, and these two seem to go for quite a lot themselves. Upwards of 55 or so.
I have sold some postcards in my time and find that photos of people sell best if there is an animal in the picture - a dog or cat or whatever, and also toys, eg rocking horses for kids and nice pieces of furniture or an interesting house or settiing , help. I had one RPP which showed three kids, each wearing a cap or hat for a particular warship [God knows why] and it sold fast.
Nice haul! I appreciate seeing more postcard content on UA-cam - when Popeye went on a brief hiatus and I was between jobs I had a brief foray into UA-cam. Wish I had more time to do some videos here and there. I know your seller too and he is a cool dude too and nice to work with. Love the postcard community. I will keep an eye on your videos. :-)
Oh my GOD this video has made me feel so seen. I recently bought about 1200 postcards from a small op shop in Australia, for $20 and spent DAYS going through them. One of the biggest treasures of my life!!! I've always been super into old post cards but never thought about other people being as equally into this as me until someone suggested starting a youtube diving into the world of vintage postcards and I thought for sure I was the only post card nerd in the world. Amazing.
Hey Parker, long-time silent fan here! Awesome pickup, you got here! I prefer selling topographical over rppc cards too. I thought I was the only one, haha! I feel like rppc cards are a hassle to list bc I always have to do a bunch of research to try and figure out where it was taken and how to list them. Without a place or location, they are a harder sale. I sold some unidentified ones on Whatnot last night. They seem to do better there where it can be shown live if unidentified.
Postcards are not the easiest thing to sell ; on Ebay ; no matter WHAT postcard You have - there are1, 2, 3, 4, already listed. Generally. You did shell out a nice chunk for these . I would have to get back my money FAST just to make myself feel better. I'd first do "junk lots" to get rid of "commons" and low value ones. Again, I am NO expert on these . I sell LOTS of ephemera but I "pass" on postcards because they are "heirloom" items - they got saved. By a LOT of people. For the past 100 years. I also do not like sales UNDER $15.00 w/ postage OR free postage. Good luck with them , but - that was a pretty big investment . Not sure how fast that money will be coming in... That's why I don't sell BOOKS.
That would be amazing but my guess is around 9-12 months. Who knows though?! Depends on how intense I am about scanning and listing them. I AM tracking all the sales so I can make update videos about the progress ☺️

Yeah. I’m okay with just 24k since I’m not yet retired 😜
Good luck with your huge haul. I have a bunch of ships that are not moving at all. Or eBay is not showing mine who knows..good luck going forward.

Way to go man, I'd love to pick up a big haul like that! Congrats and may you make a bunch off of them!
Fingers crossed!
I love Vintage postcards...I do postcrossing, so I always look for cards.
Nice! Me too. Not about postcrossing, but about looking to buy them ☺️

Congratulations on the purchase. If the rest are as good as those first three boxes, that was a great buy.

Made my money back within that year i bought them and still selling them 👍🏽🤓
Congrats, that's crazy good! I hope you do well with them.
People rppcs are okay if they have names on the back. If they don't have names, they still might sell if people are looking for certain fashions.
I agree! I’ve sold many with people….just a preference I have to resell topographic ones is all. Appreciate you watching and commenting 👍🏽☺️
Great investment Similar to dividends or bonds Whatnot Sales for life
Say less!!! Well done!! Time to make that money back!
Some of those do not look like postcards but someone's genealogy. Thanks for sharing!
On a different video can you show through a loupe the difference between RPPC and the others . Thanks
I love the RPPCs!!!!
I think it would be better keeping track on power point or something like that
The good news is that you won’t have to source for a loongggg time. Congratulations 🍾🎉
Fro Lita!!! Love that hair
She has some awesome hair doesn’t she!!!! Lol
Do you have a link to your ebay store? Congrats....
@@MikeinEtna Thanks for reaching out! You found me 😊👍🏽
Some postcards have a small number in the corner, for example 08921/6. What does that mean? Is that the number of postcards of that one that exist?
@@nataliasanchez1838 most likely but i am not 💯 sure
wow... beautiful postcards
Thank you so much 😊
@@parkerspostcards do you resell those postcards? or you just keep them for collection purposes?
@@softwaremediaguru i am a reseller. On ebay and occasionally on WhatNot 😎
Wow cool butterfly

Go big or go home you will make a bunch of money on those no question congrats

Nice video. cracked up at the way you were pronouncing Scituate. -- "Sichuate" Thats how it pronounced, not spelled obviously. Enjoy your postcards.
Have a friend with three vintage boxs for a thousand
What!!! Did you say $4,500!!!
Yup! Gulp! it’s an investment that should pay off in the long haul. Appreciate you watching and commenting Danielle
WOW 4500 bucks jesus
Haha!
My vote is for people Kameron
I give it 4 months for you to get your money back. What do others thing?
That would be amazing but my guess is around 9-12 months. Who knows though?! Depends on how intense I am about scanning and listing them. I AM tracking all the sales so I can make update videos about the progress ☺️
Sell it
