@@psychlyeslg I think it was also to promote The Peggies (the group that sang the opening) and Halca (the woman sang the 2 endings) because in the manga Chizuru Ichinose/Mizuhara said that she could sing songs by Radwimps (abbreviated as RAD in the manga) and Little Glee Monsters besides that Mami likes the songs of Little Glee Monster but In the anime they replaced it with The Peggies, that's what I think, take care of yourself, have a good life and God bless you.

The song fits the description for Chizuru x Kazuya's story well of course Reiji specifically put this in the story along with Radwimps song which was never mentioned whuch I think it's nothing important than this song

During the entire first year college of their lives up until the time Chizuru sang this song (Volumes 1-6), she misunderstood Kazuya as if he still can't move on from his ex-girlfriend Mami even for almost a year, while Kazuya has been into Chizuru ever since that summer (where Kazuya and Chizuru started falling in love with each other almost simultaneously, that the next time they meet in the university and moreso in the hot springs with their families, they're clearly become submissive to those feelings). He even questioned himself if he even really liked Mami back then, as he clearly doesn't have an idea who Mami really was. In her words with Mami in the bridge in Chapters 48-49 and everything that happened before, it pretty much implied that Chizuru had a hard time dealing with her feelings for Kazuya for the whole year because of this (in addition for Kazuya telling he doesn't have feelings for her in Chapter 32, which still bothered her until he confessed to her in Chapter 174). Chizuru was about to move on from those unrequited feelings for the guy, until Kazuya suddenly told her he wanted her all along in the end of Chapter 49, which made her feeling confused (knowing that Kazuya seemed to have no feelings for her) and disappointed (in that would have been a reality in a far normal way, than just him saying the "rental" word afterwards). It would have been funny that the "slight fever" Chizuru had in the beach arc must have been from her knowing that Kazuya was trying to get back to his ex-girlfriend all along, that she doesn't bother saving herself from falling deeper in the sea until Kazuya saved her by sheer coincidence (and eventually chose her over Mami as a result of him having good first impressions for the former).
