Very useful content as usual. many thanks. I mainly use L1 for new instructions and concept (abstract) words. Finding the right balance should indeed be part of every teacher's personal aims when planning lessons. I constantly try to make my trainees reflect on that: how much L1 is really needed ?

And , regarding the format ,do you think Online Course would be as useful as the physical,since it is to much to afford the cost added by travelling and accommodation?!😊
Hi there- thanks for the nice feedback. As far as Delta is concerned, you can do module one and module three without travelling. There are a number of people who offer preparation courses for these and I definitely recommend doing a prep course. Module two, you’ll usually need to do on site, but I would start with module one and see how you get on with that.

I was teaching in a private language school in the 80s and it was a total immersion system to ONLY speak English. You are totally right.
