Get rid of that quick connect! go straight hose to hose with a connector in the middle and hose clamps. How often do you take your motor on and off? The only time you would disconnect your fuel line is at the end of the year to run your motor out of gas at the end of the season! bypass the connector altogether.
I recently learnt a lesson by not buying genuine parts... for the fuel fittings and fuel tank... ... Ofcourse genuine parts can be much dearer but you will find they fit much better ( snug fit ).. and 99% will call zero issues ... Out of curiousity I connected a friends fuel system to mine and bingo started first time.. . Off I went and replaced the after market parts and bingo statrted first go... .. My motor was a 25hp ...
Don’t put no more gas in your boat that you can use for one month! Use sta-bil and at the end of the season, put on the muffs, drain the fuel tank and run the boat motor until it’s out of fuel!
Wow that might be my problem!!!!! Thanks. Why hasn’t anyone addressed this before?
Thank You Soooooo Much... This Tip was Awesome.... Thank You....
