The context before your reading Romans 6:3-4 regarding baptism into death… because it’s about dying to sin so that it does not reign in our mortal bodies, so we are not taken captive to what we’ve been freed from over and over and over again. “What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?” Romans 6:1-2 ESV
Now I do believe that God has the power to raise the dead and I’ve never questioned that, but you mentioned the apostles and it got me thinking… all of them were martyred and yet none of them were raised from the dead… now that is interesting because I’d bet there had to be people that thought they would rise again, but none of them did. That said, I’m curious where there is a historical (or present day) example of someone being dead for 4 days only to be brought back to life at the mere utterance of “Lazarus! Come forth!” 7:51

Why would they want to be resurrected?? They got to go home and be with Jesus again!!
