- Reigning European champions Real Madrid reached their third successive Champions League final as they edged out Bayern Munich in a thrilling semi-final second leg.
Trailing 2-1 after the first leg in Germany, Bayern needed a win at the Bernabeu to reach the final but it finished 2-2 as Real clinched a 4-3 aggregate victory.

It was pure frustration for me. Now it is nostalgia -- fantastic tolisso, süle used to be so good with hummels, Thiago at the club, James performing magically. Man Bayern München deserved to win the title that year.

@@bitoffbalance4021 Don't forget when Jupp Heynckens and when he came back we beat PSG 3-1 (who we lost 3-0 under Ancelotti). This year we were so good in the first half of the season as well as until the Hertha game but we had a slump but now that we bounced back 4-0 against Union, I hope to continue that way and we should get past Villareal and Liverpool-Bayern will be a cracker.

I think Bayern should have won 2012 (beat Madrid on penaltys but Lost to an inferior Chelsea side in the final) 2013 dominant. 2015 Guardiola fucked the team. 2020 and 2021 Flick monstruous side. Madrid wins 2014 2016 2017 2018. Fuck It in 2019 selling CR7. Could have won It in 2012 too. I will never get how keylor Navas is such a good goalkeeper but he keeps being underrated everywhere he goes. He was phenomenal at madrid especially in the ucl campaign. The only real mistake I rememeber is the juventus goal but that didnt even matter. and now at psg he is being replaced by Donnanurma despite having a great season
Sometimes players’ personality make for a difficult team experience , I could maybe sense that with Navas - every time there’s even a chance for goal defensively , he yells at everyone lol

in all decisive matches at least after 2010, Real needed the help of the referee, with the exception of 2014 and 2022
The fact that people are looking at the game from only one side just shows how badly people wanted Real Madrid to not defend/consecutively win the title 3 in a row, it's simple as that.
In 2017 and 2018 both the time Bayern faced Real Madrid, there were so many poor calls in favor of both the sides, but people just point out the calls that favored Madrid. Why? Because the reason I mentioned above, they didn't wanted us to win it 2 or 3 in a row.
I would say the same for the Chelsea Barca robbery that people say that Barca robbed Chelsea, there were so many calls not given in favor of Barca in both the legs, specially in the first leg, but what made the highlights? The Drogba gesture in the end of the game.
So quit crying lads.
In the end while Madrid won, it was Bayern who dominated both legs. In terms of shots on target and possession. Credit to Madrid for making the most of their chances, and from a sensational performance by Navas who singlehandly kept their dreams of a threepeat alive in the second leg. Also credit to Ramos for keeping Lewandowski quiet. But this match was much closer than people make it out to seem. It took 2 individual mistakes ( Rafinha's mistake in the 1st leg, and Tolissos poor pass in the 2nd leg) and half of Bayerns starting XI injuired (Neuer,Boateng, Robben,Coman, Vidal, Alaba (missed the 1st leg))) for Madrid to beat them. Im not going to talk about the uncalled penalties because that would just be another topic in of itself.
The game plan was to stop Ronaldo, considering he scored in every leg prior to facing Bayern that season. Sule and Hummel did well in limiting his chances, but again individual mistakes costed Bayern the match. Im not going to say so much the refs costed Bayern rather considering the shots they had, Bayern should have been more clinical. If Bayern had their whole squad healthy, Im sure it would have been a different game. But thats football I guess, you never know what to expect.
