I don’t think you understand Akira Toriyama style my boy. Look at one piece at least in America not Japan but in America anime fans hated Oda Style and diss liked One Piece in the early 2000s-2010s. Fast forward to the time skip and Wano Arc and with all the designs and animation changes one piece got really popular in America now. So judging the designs without even Know Toriyama sansei style or knowing that Daima specifically has as aimed for kids in Japan makes you a Dummmy Dumbbb Head.
Honestly some parts of daima are appealing (mainly the world building) but then some story beats are just off putting (the airship McGuffin always breaking or getting stolen) and the characterization for some of the main cast is also regressive (goku being so dumb he puts his friends in danger) while others are improvements (kai getting some nice scenes of proper intellect)
@mesieurt2 the parts of diama i wanted have been done in other matieral, primarly the demon realm so i wont give it much credit there. The character designs remind me of Toriyama's Jump Force OCs. The writing and designs are my main gripes. Don't care for Toriyama's 3rd explanation for Buu or his 3rd retcon of the Namekians. Kai I haven't cared for since Goku aimed a ki blast to his face. The series feels like Toriyama decided to do his own Dragon Quest story.
