      A gel, such as from Beauty of Joseon or The Ordinary, etc., might work. However, I would opt for something lighter, like a hydrating essence or serum.

    If I use a salicylic cleanser, is it ok to use this moisturizer? Because of lactic acid.

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  7 місяців тому +1

      In these formulations, lactic or citric acids are generally used just as a pH adjuster or for hydration and other properties, but not for exfoliation. So, yes :)

    I used this before and it does not give me any reaction. But I bought a new one Simple Moisturizer with Niacinamide. But it give me slight itchiness for a short period of time.
    1. I used it over Ordinary Niacinamide.
    2. Ihave also tried with Insfree aelo gel and then this moisturizer
    For some period of time it is giving me burning sensation. Then its normal.
    So should I use it or not
    Before it I have used Cetaphil lotion but that causes severe acene all over my face. 😅 I don't what both have that doesn't suit my skin.

      Well, it could be anything, to be honest. They probably have changed more than just the niacinamide. However, I also doubt that it is the niacinamide causing the issue since you are already using a 10% formulation. Do you experience any issues when using it on its own? In any case, if it irritates your skin, I would advise against using it further. Switching to another formulation, like The Ordinary's Natural Moisturizing Factors + Beta Glucan, might be a good option. Alternatively, trying it without, as I do, could also work well. It's worth testing the different options.

    Hi Melissa
    I have a simple moisturizer, but it is a little different from this version. It says that it contains niacinamide. I know that it is a very small amount of niacinamide or even none at all. The problem is that I use it after salicylic acid, and I heard that niacinamide and salicylic acid conflict, so please tell me what to do. Should I? I have to stop using moisturizer and serum together?

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  9 місяців тому +2

      Yeah, it's sad that they are not as transparent. However, niacinamide and salicylic acid have no conflicts unless you mix them in the palm of your hand; when you layer them, there is no issue, so you can use them together.
