It’s not the equipment, but the heart and creativity of the musician!
Big fax!
you prolly dont care but if you're bored like me during the covid times you can stream pretty much all of the new movies on Instaflixxer. I've been watching with my brother for the last months xD
@Derrick Trevor yup, I've been watching on Instaflixxer for months myself =)
I'm actually quite shocked at how great this sounds, I'm sure if you showed this to someone with no context they'd would never have known that toy keyboards where used to make it. Lovely stuff!
Everything about this is an absolute delight. A perfect way to celebrate your sub milestone, and a showcase really of all of these keyboards and what they do well.
My favorite thing that you constantly do is exploit features for results that likely weren't intended at first, like the transpose knob to do those extremely slick slides on the chords.
Keep up the stellar work as always!
I now have two of those keyboards. I had none before I subscribed to this channel.
I watch a good number of youtubers who talk about music gear, and although they all make good videos, not all of them are very creative when it comes to playing their instruments. I really love how musical this channel is and the effort and creativity you put into these songs. Thank you so much for making videos!
Well deserved 10.9k! On to 25k in no-time, I am sure.
Yep
update: 35k
That was great, one of the most full sounding casio and yamaha compositions i've ever heard. Truly a treat for the ears, and congratulations on 10K well earned subscribers!
Awesome track! You deserve x100 subscribers and more for the quality of your videos and compositions. Thanks for sharing.
Bravo! Here's to the next 10K and beyond!
man, i always keep coming back to this, everything about it is jaw dropping, a candidate for the most criminally underrated video of all time. bloody genius this guy.
Its not only a beautiful creation but also a tribute to all those creative minds who were a part of creating all these musical keyboards.
And yes the creative effort you have put in.
I am trying to learn keyboard and you videos inspire me a lot.
Es la canción que luce a todos los teclados CASIO y Yamaha de manera en que ninguno queda fuera, estoy muy sorprendido por como suenan. Muchas felicidades 🎊, y por muchos más vídeos.
Hey it IS a PURE master piece well done.
Aaahhrg. Don’t you dare!!! I - do - not - want - to - buy - more - gear! Great, really! Amazing tune. Big hands playing tiny keys 🎹 🤘🏻
WOW. Just amazing!
Congratulations on the 10,000 subscribers!
Seriously, it's realty cool song made with old portable keyboards... Master ! 😉
Fantastic!!!
That was great! Both impressive and fun to listen to.
Brilliant melodies, arrangement and use of instruments. Congratulations on 10k subs. One love from Barbados 🇧🇧
I officially consider this a masterpiece.
Love every video! Still astounds me you aren't more popular, literally every video is quality, with good boards and good sounds
This should be a close second to "Underlander's Heimweh" as THE little old portable keyboard hymn!
this is awesome!
i wish somebody would make vst's of some of these keyboards, coz it's impossible to get these sounds out of other synthesizers or vst instruments so far, and sometimes, you want that 'toy' sound.
Thank you for this! Love your work.
Well done, man! That's a really cool and impressive version. Congratulations for the 10K and for the job.
Amazing work - both audio and video vise.
I wish you covered more professional equipment as well, but i get that the low budget keyboard love is the core concept of the chanell.
Also - the main theme reminds of the main theme for the "How it's made" series :D
Congrats on the 10k subs, and great stuff with the music as always! 😍
THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST, I LOVE THIS SO MUCH ^_^
Awesome
Love this channel. Would be great to see your take on little samplers. Greetings from Argentina!
3:00 this is hardcore! :D
Woooooooahhh this is great!
Congratulations!!!!! :D
Awesome!
Wow its amazing song 15 keyboard keren on keys song 😘😘😃😃😇😇
I love that channel
I grew up with the Yamaha PS keyboard! My dad was a dealer for these instruments back in the 80’S. But I never really had the chance to learn to play keyboards. Recently I bought a Yamaha SHS 500 for the sake of retro feeling! Ha…
Yamaha SHS500 is a fun music instrument to play with. I can play some notes on it! Just by listening to some music. Ha…
Love your channel! Most of the keyboards you showed really brings back some sweet memories! Most of them I seen and touched back in the 80’S but can’t afford to own one! Too young and had no money to buy. Ha… My dad didn’t get me one!
Amazing!
Great job!
With how meticulous the air-keyboarding was here, I'm starting to wonder if you live in a south-facing loft with nothing but an Ikea Linnmon/Adils Table, 12 different colors of posterboard, a single Eames chair and a spider-monkey named Dieter. Just once I want to spot a coffee-cup stain on something... Tipped-over bottle of lager... I dunno', some lint or dust on an errant black key. Sheesh...
.
Jealousy & friendly ribbing aside: it's been fun to watch you progress, buddy! Congrats on nailing and surpassing 10k!
Yeah, that's what it looks like, but maybe it's just an illusion... (by the way, I had to kick that monkey out, he drank all of my lager)
bless your channel.
Wie geil! 👉🏻🎯👈🏻
Excellent job!
Amazing brow!
happy 2 year old channel
YEAHS!!
I miss the early casiotones CT201, 401, etc. and the (not exactly keyboards) Suzuki Omnichords, you should do a review someday!
You are doing really nice job. Can you please do a review on YAMAHA PSR-263. Humble request.
If UA-cam ever adds custom premiere timers, use this
This may be a little hard to believe, but your channel is my absolute favorite. Sometimes it feels a little like keyboard porn. (one video you actually tell us to watch loving pictures of the circutry while you go clean the plastics. Absolutely a porn setup. LOL)
You do Euro style Techno concerts in NYC? Nothing really happening now - but curious which venues other than MSG are good?
0:59 - 1:06
That was hot.
Hi, brilliant videos, have you done any on Moog synthesizers or more professional level keyboard/synths?
So far only the CAT, but I will do a couple more in the future.
1:00 Is it just me or is it getting hot in here ;)
Can I use these songs for a UA-cam series?
It just occurred to me that the background color for each of the keyboards is different. I presume they're actual sheets of some material, not just digital effects, right? What do you do with them after you're done? This is, by far, the most important aspect of these videos.
These are large sheets of colored paper. I'll keep them and maybe use them again. There aren't that many colors available.
How did you record the keyboard sounds directly onto the software?
Review Casio sa-47 plis
Which DAW software are you using?
Samplitude ProX5 Suite
@@KeenOnKeys Cool! Thank you.
I have nothing to do with music, came across this channel looking for a keyboard for my daughter....
Glad to be here, nice work 👍🏻
This is perfect, optimistic, uplifting. This is the kind of stuff that will take us out of 2020.
Keen On Keys quickly became one of my favorite channels. The irresistible combination of unique style and interesting content. I don't think that either has anything to do with the specific items you cover. Congrats on 10k+!
I grabbed my PC-100 (that I bought after your episode on it) and played along. Love the way you use the transposer on this track. It feels so right.
I really like keyboards. I appreciate any kinds. I love this channel. More power to Keen on Keys.
Incredible. Put a huge smile on my face.
Beautiful! I love this so much! :D
Wait how does this only have 5,000 views????
I just binge-watched all of your videos and just noticed your subscriber count. I am absolutely baffled, I could've sworn I was watching a channel with millions of subscribers. Your videos are a delight to watch and you helped me choose a keyboard to bring to my class trip because one week without a keyboard is a week i won't survive haha! Keep up the great work, greetings from Germany!
Fantastique! And charmingly excellent!
The only channel on youtube, where I have watched literally every video. Thanks again for your amazing work and art!
Wow, Wow and Wow! Amazing composition, amazing sounds from these "toys". You're a master, the king of the cheap keyboards. Your job is awesome. Thank you so much for share your music!!!
Your channel is perfect... form and content. A reference.
Dude, this is really impressive. Love the videography side of this video.
It’s excellent.
The question that needs answered is: How many shades of colored paper do you have?
Choosing the right color paper for each instrument demonstrated, is as genius as your remixed theme!
Too many to count, but definitely not enough!
Love it
You amazed me with your talent. These Keyboards often sound pretty cheap and you make it sound really good and professional.
This is so cool
Fun stuff, we'll played! Thanks for sharing your talent and enthusiasm.
This is incredible!
Hahahah Cute!!! This should be entitled "Don't be limited by your perception of what a keyboard can or can't do...."
So nice, I never played a keyboard before, but thanks to you Keen, I got the PSS-A50! Regards from México!
I'm late to the show but this is wonderful and brings me so much joy.
Great music and video indeed!!❤
Respect!!!! Love it!
WOW! That's brilliant!
I think he is going to take the place of 8 bit keys
How do you do all of the different color table tops the keyboards are placed on? Also how are you positioning your camera on a tripod? Footage just looks so good
It's actually very simple. Large sheets of coloured paper. And I use a tripod and a large overhead mic stand for the camera.
@@KeenOnKeys I love the aesthetic, it goes so well with the theme of the channel and the units themselves. I've been binge watching all of the videos
Awesome!
Very nice
Epic!!!!
Nice!
Great
Brilliant, the skill and how you perfectly employ those tiny little keyboards to sound and express everything you compose, congratulations on 10k subs and keep the good work 👍
めっちゃいい!
god job bravo.
Hello Keen on Keys. Thank you for this wonderful ensemble. With inspiration from your new intro, can I please ask if you would consider the following topic for your channel. Which of these keyboards would you recommend for producing particular sounds in multi-track synth recording, in particular which wave patterns or synth engines are best at melody, bass, percussion etc. Thanks again, and I very much look forward to seeing more.
Nice suggestion, I will think about that. But it's not so easy to answer, cause it depends so much on the music and of course personal taste.
@@KeenOnKeys Thanks. Perhaps your own personal taste is the way to answer. I imagine it was not easy fitting all the keyboards in. For me the four that stood out were the MT-70 stood out (bass organ sounds), the consonant synthesis melodies, the pss-a50 with its pitch bend and of course the pss-100. many would bypass this keyboard altogether, but you demonstrated its ability to add some gritty sounds. I just bought one. ha ha ;)
Could it be that the melody in the beginning of every video of yours was played by the same keyboard you were reviewing at the time??
Exactly
@@KeenOnKeys OMG that's brilliant! Love your channel BTW, superb content!
I LOVE THIS!!! WOOOWWW
非常喜欢!
