i like your videos. im new too, i just got rid of my canister as well. i moved from a 72 g to a 40 g breeder with a hob filter and my 505 hydor protein skimmer. i dont know whats it like with out a canister filter, this is all new to me. i have ran my tank with and with out a lid, with out i loose water and my calcium stays steady, with my lid my calcium gets high. any hints on that or tips.
joe chiefsparky HI joe thanks for stopping by. I find that running with no cover helps keep the tank a bit more balanced. the canister is problematic as it creates nitrates. Your main filtration is your rock and skimmer as long as you have good flow. I hope this helps!!
A sump will be fun. The bio load is low here, but it rarely goes down, right
