I am 14 years old and I am brazilian and here, as a many of you must know, the preference is football. It's not different with me. However, this man represents for me what many players don't: my idol of every sports. And i just begun to like tennis because of him. And shouldn't be different about the idol thing. Look at it. Federer adds such simpathy in charisma of this video with his talent of others more that are here, too. His intellectual is part of his genius. It just creates a legend.

@Elwink I don't think Federer's a victim of any disease, except being astonishingly friendly and genuine. Maybe it's a "disease" you should catch. :) I doubt Roger is a man unclear, or brainwashed in "his" opinion or beliefs on things. I'm sure if you happened to be one of these people with an immense gift that you don't even fully understand, one that just take control of you at certain times, I'm sure you might be thinking there's someone behind the scenes running the show too.
@catlynekeuh yeah, but look above, there's some Swiss guy who speaks all those languages him self, and of course not all people speak them but I thing at least 30-40% of people do (i mean Swiss people), and Roger is among them. The other day Novak was a guest star at some Italian TV show and spoke only Italian, very fluently. As a teen he spent 4-5 years in Germany at a tennis camp so he speaks it very well. He lives in Monaco and that explains French.

@thrillseeking Djokovic doesn't "speak" French, as much as he simply recited a speech a few years ago and that's about the extent of his proficiency. He isn't conversant in French, which is why when an French reporter tried to get him to speak French he admitted he didn't know that much. His French is about as extensive as Roger's Italian or Swedish. Lol!
@kvdoglover yes, at his birth his parents chose a religion for him, and yes he's got stunning talent made by a force of nature we will never understand. Although it's the 21st century, we have to be respectful for people's choices in life. At the same time we can and sometimes should make light-hearted jokes of anything in this modern age. Especially about a collective disease among humanity, religion, that has made so many victims.

For e.g. quite a few of my countrymen are also friendly and genuine and religion is dying out here, go figure. And my international friends are friendly as well, with or without religion. Yep he's not heavily brainwashed and I think of him as a logical-thinking and intelligent person, I doubt he really practices his given religion, but that's just my thought.
