The 650 and 675 are obviously faster, but they always look like the front doesn´t fit the backend to me. The 570GT even looks better, but understandably if you are looking for a gt car, there are other, maybe better, options if you don´t need it to be a McLaren. I heard Aston Martin builds some nice cars, too.
I think of McLarens current range of cars like a family of super hot girls. You have the super hot oldest sister.. the P1. And now her youngest sister just turned 18, and you want to nail her, but if you do, chances are you'll probably end up wishing you'd gone with one the more experienced, older kinky sisters instead! I know that's not the biggest thing when actually buying a car, but I definitely think the 570s is plenty of power + looks better. Either way can't wait to see what you go with :)
I saw this car at a Supercar Sundays meet here in the Chicago suburbs last summer and I fell in love without really knowing too much about it. After studying up on it, I really do think this is the perfect car at that level. I saw a video saying when depreciation hits these things, they will be many peoples first 'supercar' (you're batshit crazy if you don't think this is a supercar, even though it's classed as a sports car). I'm really looking forward to this because it's definitely plausible for me. With that said, please get it Mr. JWW! Live my dreams for me until I get there!

I'd take the 570S over any R8 in a heartbeat. To me the GT3 is a different beast and totally unique (rear engine RWD with a ton of heritage). Mid engine supercars, the 570S is the best for the money. It's light at 3100 freedom units :), carbon tub, 560hp/440tq, traditional dampers/roll bars and Mclaren designed it to be a fun street car, not to push the fastest possible lap times on a circuit.
How do you think it compared to the R8? I'm seriously considering swapping mine for one of these later this year and as you've driven both I'm interested to know what you think when directly comparing the two
I have to say man, your videos are really one of the best put together! You don't just show us the cabin of the car you drive for the entire video. You really take the effort to show us different views of the car, inside and out. Even the drive thru ones! Thumbs up to you! :)
Mr JWW, loved the video and loved the car. What I like is that you use more than one camera unlike some of the other UA-camrs and your editing skills are on point. It seems like you actually think about your videos, rather than just turning up and videoing, and that shows.

I absolutely love the 570S. At first I was a bit sceptical about the design of it but after seeing it in person, I fell in love. And the funny thing about that McLaren dealer is that I've been there before while I was in the UK a few years ago haha! Great video James!
The people saying buy the 570GT don't understand the components and suspension changes between the two. That is one thing that turns me off with the GT. My favorite part about the 650s is the power delivery is a lot more gut wrenching then it is in the 570s. Also the hydraulic suspension and aero are gods gift

It's as British as Black Pudding, and you are one of the most British people I can think of (it's a compliment man). It's fast, it looks mad, you like it and if you buy one, soon enough it will be hanging its loose nether regions around every corner you can squeeze one in :)
They're not "Gullwing" doors - stop misusing the term! Maybe "butterfly" but not gullwing. Lambo doors are also *not* gullwing doors - they're "scissor". If you want gullwing doors, buy a DeLorean or a Mercedes SLS AMG.

I would wait for the new 570GT since you already have the GT3 for track purposes, not to mention its still got sweet dihedral doors! Also I don't know if there is a colour this car doesn't look good in, absolutely gorgeous!
hey james, doors like mclaren or the ones in the laferrari are called butterfly doors, the gullwings are the ones in the huayra and the sls and the 300 sl, the lambo doors are scissor doors, and aston are swan doors

Key thing- how did it feel getting back in the GT3 afterwards? For me that's always the most revealing part on any test drive (mainly because I'm used to hydraulic and everything I test is electric these days, I've not actually been own over..!)
The GT3 sounded a lot better for sure - but the 570S has crazy power delivery and hydraulic steering and I like the added drama of the dihedral doors ha ha 👍🏻 different cars really a GT3 more of a sensory blast 570S probably a better daily🤔

If you want the convertible now and more performance, go 650s. If you want to spec out your car to your own taste, go 570s. If you want more storage space, wait for the 570GT. Lovely model. Love the doors. Amazing McLaren engineering. All down to personal preference of course, but when it comes to a 675LT v F12 debate, the F12, and the TDF version, decides it for mine. Hello sir, I'm completely new to your channel, but I'm hooked. If I were to give my honest opinion about the 570S, I'd say it's the best non-limited run production car in McLaren's lineup. From an aesthetic point alone, I think it's almost level with the P1. By far and away better looking than the 12C and650S, yet just inches past the Longtail in design. Plus its seems like it's completely daily-able with that added character of low end torque you mentioned in the video. If you haven't seen what this thing looks like in green, I highly suggest you do haha. Definitely my favorite color. If it were me, I'd bid the Audi farewell and make room for one of these in my garage. That's just my two cents...Keep it up man, people were right in saying this stuff comes naturally for you.

Why yes! Maclaren would be nice in your collection. One thing I iike about the 570s is they keep the dihedral doors compared to the baby lambos. If you buy one, How long will you have to wait till collection day?

Before you make a decision make sure to test drive a Huracan 580-2 that would be my other choice opposed to the 570S
