PREs have such tremendous heart and soul! I get the chills watching this, after countless times. And I feel blessed to own and ride a PRE, my heart horse. They are so generous and, as the Spanish say, noble.

I love this test, horse and music in perfect sync, this is how dressage to music is done, maybe not super accurate, but full of character, bravo, I’ve watched this God knows how many times and will watch it many times more.
And the horse is actually using its back. Not hollow like 99% of others that score so much better. He should have won based on the fact the horse has been taught to lift through the back.
Ok, so this was lacking technically, but OMG! One handed 2x Tempe’s AND flying changes on the curve!?! Outstanding! What a gorgeous horse! The music was perfect, just stunning to watch!

Dressage judges always favor the Hanoverians, Trakhners. etc over the Andalusians. Personally I think the Baroque horses excel at dressage. The Andalusian stallion is the hardest working stallion. Beautiful horse that Fuego XII!
I know that's so true! But horse have been a incredible part of world history in sosny forms..a noble animal despite breed or service. My beloved tiny Galecino stallion was a pleasure to ride but a honest hard working ranch horse. I rode patrol for the largest state fair, even on thei mob riot Tx/ OU blowout game night with all the drunken violence. My sweet boy remained willing to do my bidding even as crowd had pulled him to the ground. I could see the whites of his bulging eyes but he faithfully stayed still instead of ploughing idiots over. I got people clear of him and dashed to another downeduch bigger horse. I got my stallion to keep changing leads and spinning to back people off downed, terrified horse and rider. The next, calmer day I warmed him up but didn't know we had audience as we did some dressage to shake off previous night of terror. At a certain point, we have to leaf/ clear way for parade. As we got to our route to clear, my stallion nicked a bit but soon quieted when asked. A big beautiful greating stallion and rider. Joined us. His looked huge and magnificent compared to my tiny 900 lb boy. The rider was awaiting his cue. Suddenly, they broke into perfect dressage to music. So, my boy wants toove with them so we followed with slight delay and mirrored them. At end, I dismounted and mine bowed. The mystery rider asked where I'd got my fine tiny mare. I laughed. I raised him and his twin. Who trained him? I said he's a cow horse but used for lessons. Then I told him he was a stallion. In didn't believe me. Spin checking, both stallions were cooluch to my surprise he was horse master of Mideavil Times.. I explained mine was a Galecino but a true pleaser. Magical night toret and shadow such devoted discipline. We parted ways but I can ç
I just watched this for the first time and it was a fantastic performance. What amazed me the most was the horse had so much extension and power but when asked to simply walk he was so quiet and calm almost asleep and then he got right back into the routine. Most horses I see doing this are all foamed up at the mouth and sweating this guy was cool as a cucumber what a horse.

Loathe modern dressage but this superb pair is an exception. Compared to warmbloods, etc., the lightness, collection, and effortless elevation and springiness is just incomparable! The baroque horses far exceed every other breed. This is how it should look, exquisite!
Feeling nostalgic during covid bs and, of course, finding comfort in dressage. Re-watched Upholf/Rembrandt epic test and placed Werth in the saddle lol. Watched Carole Lavelle and Gited too. Old heros of mine, particularly Carol's bombastic warm-up Aachen video commentary. Ms Lavelle called out rollur back in the 1980's. I know Diaz's steed is dead. Is Carole still with us?

No Name Es sein Ausländer.. auch im Reitsport gibt es eine Art Rassismus, wenn mans ganz blöd ausdrücken will... viele Spanier und die Ausländer insgesamt, haben nicht so ein Talent wie Fuego, in der Bewegung den Sportpferden nahe zu kommen. Zu wenig HH, dafür zu viel Knieaktion usw usw.
