Man, you earned yourself a new subscriber. Your montages and footage from the old sources are amazing. Great insight on the CQC, urban combat and building-breaching training from that era! Thanks for the work!
I was stationed din the Berlin Brigade from 88-92 and I swear we had the same M113, M60's and recoiless rifles lol. It looks like they were brand new when this was filmed though.
It's understandable. My photo credit line is "R.W. Rynerson" - the photo was shot in late 1969 during an alert. It's part of a series showing our move-out. It was taken with a Voightlaender folding 35mm camera that I carried in my pocket. The soldier is a road guard at a turn in the convoy route. He was with HHC, 4th Bn, 18th Inf. He's looking skeptical because I was in civilian clothes for my assignment and he didn't know who I was.
@rwrynerson OK, i've just added the annotations (both on the photo and at the end of the video). Also thanks for the precious info! Loved the details :-) Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you and your family! Cheers, Aleks

Would love to hear stories from the standoff from a vet that was actually there on the front line that day.
Your video's amazing :)

I was BB 88-90, what the fuck was that??
