It depends on how strong force you crochet. The granny squares I made are 5.5-6.0cm sizes:)
I made this top for my size, so if you have problem with the size, I would recommend to increase or decrease granny squares to fit your size:)

I used the yarn that is approximately 20g and 66m.

Please clarify the "36 squares for the top": You have 4 rows of 12 squares each, that's 48 squares for the top. Is that correct? And, could you please give the dimension of each square and the dimension of the top you make here? Do you use size 3 hook and light weight cotton yarn? Thank you for your video. It was beautiful!

Thank you for pointing it out:) It was 48 squares for the top. I used 3.0 and 3.5mm hooks. The yarn I used is cotton 100%.
