According to the report the TU-22 had an engine fire on deck.
They lost altitude and went into a low spiral (Flat spin) a kind of stall when there's no longer lift on the wings and impossible to get out of it.
If a plane was shot down by a missile it doesn't enter into a low spiral.
So the crew ejected (4 men crew) and the plane fell to the ground.
Pretty slowly. 😅

US 'Patriot' and Israel 'Iron Dome' air defence systems have proven effectiveness on battlefield lower 25%. Russian S-300,350,400 effectiveness proven on battlefield is over 97%.
I know the patriot is known to be inefficient at best, but I could have sworn the iron dome was pretty good.

source: your ass. iron dome has around 90-95% succes rate, idk about patriot. i also have no idea about S300/400 but it is definitely nowhere near 90%. ukraine uses S300s and they cant shoot that 90% of russian missiles/drones. same with russia, need i remind you of the airbase that was hit with ATACMS few days ago? or numerous Storm Shadow attacks on crimea?

@@3o3tigger only sources that i could find that claimed such numbers were TASS and other russian propaganda channels. western propaganda said that the storm shadow was shot down only a few times. considering their effectiveness in libya and syria as well as the destruction of russian ships in sevastopol and black sea fleet headquarters in crimea the storm shadow probably has 50-60% effectiveness against russian air defences. although we need to take into account that ukraine also uses jammers, anti radiation missiles and decoys when using the storm shadows so without the support their effectiveness would probably be somewhere around 30-40%.
I think the Russians don't want to eliminate Zelensky. He's not as popular in the West as he used to be.
They are smart enough not to make him a martyr. After he is out of power it is a different story.

Ah, now I understand the difference to the previous Iris-T and Patriot air defense systems from Germany. Until now, Germans have been in Ukraine as instructors and taught the Ukrainians how to maintain and operate these high-tech air defense systems. That didn't work well because these systems are very complex. In the new deliveries of Patriots from Germany, the maintenance crews and the operating team are Bundeswehr soldiers. So that was one of the provisions of the "mutual assistance agreement" between Germany and Ukraine. Now every destruction of Iris-T and Patriots in the future will be a victory against regular Bundeswehr soldiers. I admire the patience of the Russians. That is normally a casus belli.

Considering where Tu-22 has fallen, there's practically no chance it was a deed of Ukraine. Unless they managed to sneak up to it before the flight and damage the engine somehow.

I don't think the main propose of Zelensky going to Europe was to be outside the danger zone. If I recall well you once said that Putin has promised no to attempt agains Zelesky's life, and so far it has been like that. I understand Putin had opportunities in the past and he didn't do it.
