Michael Jackson was more than just a "song and dance man" His intelligence, sensitivity, and caring spirit makes him a great man. His wealth and influence gave him power that was not fully used not to any real fault of hisown.
I will always love Michael Jackson.

An angel walked amongst us... and the darkness in this world doesn’t tolerate angels too well... god bless his soul and I pray his message sinks into those shielded hearts..

Will definitely love him forever. Not only for his music but first of all for his spirit.
Grown up with a mother with a combination af ADHD/BPD with suicidal and violent behavior, my father escaped when I was 6 and never came back - so I know what he is talking about.
Did not know we had so much things in common. Unfortunately I discovered him into the depths first in 2009. Honestly guys, I would marry him right now if I could :)

Wow, why have I not come across this speech until now!? I'm looking forward to viewing the other parts.
I just want to say, even though he died young, he'd had more enriching experiences in his life than most people who reach 80 would. He gave so much to us in such a short period of time and for that I'm grateful.

There was footage of the speech on youtube, I saw it some months ago - where did it go? Michael had considerable brains, that's why he is loved so much by a lot of people, its not just because of his outstanding musical abilities. He was a deep thinker too.

I think Michael loves children so much because he never experienced what being a child feels like. Also, children are probably the only ones who don't go after his money.

THEY WILL NEVER EVER TAKE AWAY HIS SMILE, HIS PRIDE AND HIS INDEGRITY!
The world moves for love. It kneels before it in awe.
And I kneel before this Man's Magnificence!
    MICHAEL YOU ARE FOREVER!

Michael Jackson is just so naturally talented and gifted in everything he does. He is naturally pure in his kindness, his singing, his dancing and even his speeches. When he addresses an audience he captivates everyone in the room. To me, Michael is perfection. It was only the media who looked for all the gaps and silences in his pure heart that created such vile stories that persuaded most people to believe the lies.

His soft spoken decent voice is a cure for lots of people. He speaks with such beautiful phrases......he was a very very intelligent, sensitive man. Serious but funny sometimes too! He was relaxed here, you can hear but most of all FEEL it, when you open yourself for this Man.
I have a copy of this speech in a MJ map and sometimes I read the touching lines.
    Thank you and Michael...

What Michael is saying inspires me to be a good father. I mean I see fathers who never do anything for their kids, they dont play with them or even care for them. But, it takes a true father to come home from a hard day of work and play or ask his kids how their day was. I mean I have seen awful fathers personally and have heard of ones like Joe Jackson who used to hurt Michael all the time. Yet, When I see Michael and people like Steve Irwin being good fathers, it gives me so much optimism.

Michael although never attending college, made up for by being well-read. Michael read everything he could get his hands on! His imagination and thirst for adventure and innovation was limitless. He lived twice the number of years as reflected by his age. Although some portions of his life were "disappointing" for him, I truly believe in the final analysis he found more happiness then pain. Michael was strong, not this tortured soul the media would have us believe. His speech reflects this

I loved being a kid, I dont know why people would hate being a kid. I mean I loved it so much that I didnt want to grow up. I had a very difficult time going to college, my freshman year I was only able to take 12 hour classes and I was horribly depressed most of the time. I hated the people around me who cussed and were selfish. Yet, I used faith to make me like a child. I try to see things as innocent as a child, thats why I cried so much when Michael died, since he could have understood me.

EVERY SINGLE WORD HURTS SO MUCH!!!
It's so true... I didn't have childhood either... My parents abused all of us (5) we sleept on the floor in one room, starving, being constanly beaten and humiliated... I grew up and I thought I'm the worst and the ugliest person alive. So did my brother and my three sisters...
BRUISES AND WHIP MARKS HEAL, BUT THE SOUL DOESN'T :'o(
My lovely Michael healed my soul... In so many ways!
I don't know how and why but he saved me. That's a proof he is God sent!

    AMEN
I admired how this man, from a hubble home, self-educated himself & puts to shame many academics. He was an old soul & I miss him horribly. The world needs more Michael Jacksons... His msg was not welcomed by some, in many levels, and so they set to ridicule his name. I am so glad Jermaine mentioned he was pro "Save the Planet" way before the Al Gores...
Michael was underestimated. His speech about racism and the work w Mandela is also very powerful.
Sleep in the light, beautiful boy

When you're a kid, all you want to do is be a grown-up. When you're an adult, all you want to be is a kid. Man, nine was the best year of my life. I didn't have a clue about anything. At 10, all the magic goes away. This reminds me of the book ''Reviving Ophelia'' which discusses the effects of the media on teen girls.

Yes Michael went through a tough life..but he himself said he wouldnt change a thing about his life....Im more than sure if he could, he would come back and go through it all again. All the pain and all the sadness. He loved his life, by being the celebrity figure that he was, enabled him to be the humanitarian that he was. He was so innocent and kind because of his lack of childhood. Im not saying that im Glad he was treated that way, but im saying im glad that he was who he was. God bless MJ

Truly a beautiful, compelling speech. If you've not already done so, I highly recommend reading Rabbi Schmuley Boteach's second book, Honoring the Child Spirit. It's the book Michael speaks to in this speech. It brings to life his beautiful, childlike nature and why he CHOSE to live a child-like life. If every father would model just a few of his loving qualities, we would heal the world because we'd heal our children! You are f o r e v e r Michael!

To see just a bit of video footage of MJ at Oxford (not the speech, though), just look for "Michael Jackson hält Rede in der Oxford" parts 1 and 2. It's clips from German news in 2001, but you can see enough to get an idea of what it looked like! :)
