Why isn’t the top layer of my hair wavy but the bottom layer is(it’s been like this for months)I barely straighten my hair too. Do you have any tips or suggestions to give me?
@@user-sc2eq1pt5y Mechanical friction can damage the curl pattern. It's just usually the last thing people consider. But stuff like sleeping with hair down, wearing hats, or putting your hair up can cause mechanical friction. But it's not really clear what the problem is? Like it's the bottom layers of your hair are the wave pattern you want but the top layers are flat?
@@s1lkyAng3l Curls are curls but waves aren’t curls… I’m not even trying to gatekeep, it’s just the truth. Curly hair is… well… in curls, they’re more 3d, whereas wavy hair is back and forth and more 2d. Both are beautiful, but they really aren’t the same. I don’t think you’d call someone with a few autistic tendencies “autistic” just because they’re on the spectrum lol, that’s just not how it works
@@willa2003 It could be considered close to curly, but it isn’t curly. Curly hair is 3d and in more of a spiral, where waves are more 2d. I’m not trying to gatekeep or tell people with wavy hair that they don’t have texture, but they really don’t have curls. There’s a reason it’s called wavy hair, it’s a mix of straight and curly. It’s separated from curly because it’s not spiraled and looks different from curly hair, but it also isn’t straight because it has that texture. Wavy hair is amazing and pretty, but not curly. You guys calling it “wavy” is kind of proof 😭
