A more accurate analogy would be 'I won't obey laws for which I have no evidence of their existence.' Until someone proves that these laws exist, you're not disobeying the law - you'd only be disobeying the law if you agreed that a law existed and then went against it.
It's not the authority (police) that atheists would doubt in this analogy, it's the existence of laws at all.

The truly imaginary laws are manmade laws which exist only in our minds. God's laws are evident since they are all around us and regulate the entire Universe. It is manmade laws that are based on guesswork and flawed needing to be changed due to all the harm they cause. God's laws are perfect and eternal never needing change.
All of creation from the sun to the tiniest bugs have accepted God's laws without question and obey them flawlessly except Man who demands God come face to face before he even considers them.

If you consider the mathematical principle of a circle, it has boundaries. The boundaries of the circle are Allah’s choice for us. But within the circle, mathematics states there are an infinite number of points. These can be likened to our “free will”. We can choose any of an infinite number of options, all within the boundaries of what Allah has chosen for us. Scientific proof of the concept, SubHanAllah.

Living things (even ancient organisms like bacteria) are enormously complex. However, all this complexity did not leap fully-formed from the primordial soup. Instead life almost certainly originated in a series of small steps, each building upon the complexity that evolved previously:
1. Simple organic molecules were formed.
Simple organic molecules, similar to the nucleotide shown below, are the building blocks of life and must have been involved in its origin. Experiments suggest that organic molecules could have been synthesized in the atmosphere of early Earth and rained down into the oceans. RNA and DNA molecules - the genetic material for all life - are just long chains of simple nucleotides.
2. Replicating molecules evolved and began to undergo natural selection.
All living things reproduce, copying their genetic material and passing it on to their offspring. Thus, the ability to copy the molecules that encode genetic information is a key step in the origin of life - without it, life could not exist. This ability probably first evolved in the form of an RNA self-replicator - an RNA molecule that could copy itself.
Many biologists hypothesize that this step led to an “RNA world” in which RNA did many jobs, storing genetic information, copying itself, and performing basic metabolic functions. Today, these jobs are performed by many different sorts of molecules (DNA, RNA, and proteins, mostly), but in the RNA world, RNA did it all.
Self-replication opened the door for natural selection. Once a self-replicating molecule formed, some variants of these early replicators would have done a better job of copying themselves than others, producing more “offspring.” These super-replicators would have become more common - that is, until one of them was accidentally built in a way that allowed it to be a super-super-replicator - and then, that variant would take over. Through this process of continuous natural selection, small changes in replicating molecules eventually accumulated until a stable, efficient replicating system evolved.
3. Replicating molecules became enclosed within a cell membrane.
The evolution of a membrane surrounding the genetic material provided two huge advantages: the products of the genetic material could be kept close by and the internal environment of this proto-cell could be different than the external environment. Cell membranes must have been so advantageous that these encased replicators quickly out-competed “naked” replicators. This breakthrough would have given rise to an organism much like a modern bacterium.

4. Some cells began to evolve modern metabolic processes and out-competed those with older forms of metabolism.
Up until this point, life had probably relied on RNA for most jobs (as described in Step 2 above). But everything changed when some cell or group of cells evolved to use different types of molecules for different functions: DNA (which is more stable than RNA) became the genetic material, proteins (which are often more efficient promoters of chemical reactions than RNA) became responsible for basic metabolic reactions in the cell, and RNA was demoted to the role of messenger, carrying information from the DNA to protein-building centers in the cell. Cells incorporating these innovations would have easily out-competed “old-fashioned” cells with RNA-based metabolisms, hailing the end of the RNA world.
5. Multicellularity evolved.
As early as two billion years ago, some cells stopped going their separate ways after replicating and evolved specialized functions. They gave rise to Earth’s first lineage of multicellular organisms, such as the 1.2 billion year old fossilized red algae in the photo below.
These fossils of Bangiomorpha pubescens are 1.2 billion years old. Toward the lower end of the fossil on the left there are cells differentiated for attaching to a substrate. If you look closely at the upper part of the fossil on the right, you can see longitudinal division that has divided disc-shaped cells into a number of radially arranged wedge-shaped cells, as we would see in a modern bangiophyte red alga. And even if We had sent down to them the angels [with the message] and the dead spoke to them [of it] and We gathered together every [created] thing in front of them, they would not believe unless Allāh should will. But most of them, [of that], are ignorant.

Based on what he wants as proof for the existence of God, its very easy for Ethan to be deceived. A jinn can easily come to him and say he is god. Because we are different from them in essence, the jinn could do something that humans wouldn't be able to do to convince him he's god and he would believe him.

There have been many atheists who have thought all theists are fools. The reality is more nuanced than such unrefined declarations. It is the case that theism is psychologically/sociologically supported; while it is the case that theism is a fiction (and thus imaginary) within the context of what is actually understood of reality and thus results in atheism. for those that understand this issue.
If you are having difficulty seeing this issue, then consider the tapestry of considerations that theists present versus the tapestry of considerations that atheists present. The theists are referencing stories and ascribing various experiences to their notion of a divine entity. The atheists are generally referencing details about reality and finding theistic claims unsupported in that context. This also explains the trend wherein those who are more literate in the sciences tend to be less theistic.

We already know this. Iblis himself went against God because of his unrivaled levels of arrogance towards adam and mankind. Iblis was one of the strongest worshippers of God and he chose to defy him because he thinks he is better than mankind. The Holy Quran 📖 , its content word-for-word and from start to finish is from God. There are no human's words added in, no words removed, no words modified (unlike the bible).
The complete Quran from the times of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) until today is preserved intact till today (unlike the bible) because God has said he will preserve the Quran.
* Quran (verse 15:9): God (Allah) says He has revealed the Quran and He will guard it against corruption.
* Quran (verse 5:3): God says "This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion."
And indeed He HAS preserved the Quran 📖 till today even.
The Quran is the ONLY holy book in the world today, where even if all physical copies of the Quran books were to be burnt or destroyed, it can still be reproduced thereafter by the hundreds of millions of muslims in the world today because it is the ONLY holy book in the world that had been memorised from begining to end by hundreds of thousands of people.
Muslims regard memorising the Quran as a great honour (and is bestowed with great blessings from God) as muslims regard the Quran, which is a FINAL revelation from God, as a treasured gift to humanity, from a loving God that wants to guide humanity.
Praise be to God (Allah) creator of all worlds, 🌏 creator of the seen and unseen, creator of the whole universe 🌌 and everything in it, including you and I, Allah is the master of the Day Of Judgement. He has no equal, no sons, no daugthers, no uncles, no aunties, no trinity, there is only One God.☝️
Forget not, the day of Resurrection 🪦 is real, the Day Of Judgement is real. The one true God will preside over the Judgement Day. After judgement there is Heaven or Hell. Seek the true way to salvation before it is too late.

And for those who disbelieve in their Lord (Allah) is the torment of
Hell, 🔥
and worst indeed is that destination.
When they are cast into it, they will hear the (terrible) drawing in of its breath as it blazes forth
It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast into it, its keeper will ask: "Did no warner come to you?"
They will say: "Yes indeed; a warner did come to us, but we belied him and said: Allah never sent down anything (of revelation), you are only in great error."
And they will say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we would not have been among the dwellers of the blazing Fire!"

The thing I've e noticed about ppl who theyre athiest/agnostic is that when they are yold about religion the maintain their athiestic stance and the minute they are questioned, they switch to theor agnostic stance and say they don't know.

I didnt really get the distinction so much what brother Muhammad Ali was saying about miracles. The Quran is a miracle, the Prophecies are miracles, and the life of the Prophet Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him, is a miracle. These are all undeniable miracles from the Creator. After you hear about the miracles and understand that Islam is the truth, then you are accountable for accepting Islam.

I do wish sometimes that we didn't have to go through all the hardships of this life & on the FINAL day of JUDGMENT.
I do wish sometimes that we the good people as as definition of God that we were just put into JANNAH.
Will of an individual's correlation with the creator is like a teacher teaching the students and basis on their knowledge and behavior gauge how much they are going to score in the exam. The only difference is teachers are not all knowing like creator so they go wrong sometimes.

The responsibility and expectations rise accordingly. The one who sees the miracle has a more stringent life.
Normally, a miracle is given to a nation that refuses to believe and ask for a sign.

Mushammad he was asking “why isn’t the punishment the same for the past people and today”… and I know you touched on it a little but he obviously needed it said again… the huge destruction punishments were given only once the Prophets couldn’t go any further with their people and they asked God end it because it was getting too much for the prophets with fear of life etc, and in our time there is no more prophet to come so those major destructions or miracles by supplication will not happen anymore, but there is obviously normal destruction of earthquakes, floods etc. Everyday events which can still happen today but it isn’t via supplication of any Prophet but what people today call Mother Nature.

I just realized that what he said, if God presented himself, came down from heaven, then he will believe, sounds eerily similar to Dajjal deception. When Dajjal comes and proclaim as God with many of his "miracle", people like him will easily believe Dajjal as God. It's truly scary thought to have.
