Is there a way to extract all the games files into a Engine Project for use in Unreal engine 5? (so that you can check out stuff like a game's animation or blueprints, etc)
I'm a complete newbie in this stuff. I've been able to extract models and have imported successfully into Blender, with the ability to move them as well. However none of the models have eyes! The eyes show up in UEViewer but they are no longer there when I load the models in Blender. Some searching around suggest that this could be related to something called UV levels and that the eyes would be on different level. I have no idea what this means or how to go about actually getting the eyes to show up. Are there any tutorials for stuff like this?
03:17 ST. Voyager rulez! But i also curious for the flawless (but realy HARD, as i heard) Cixin Liu - 3 body problem (serie; i hope netflix will not make a joke from it..)
Dumping from a PS4 disk is difficult. I have not tried it myself, but I've done some reading about it. See below. If your PC has a Bluray player, it won't be able to read the PS4 disc. This is because PS4 game discs have some special encoding that a normal Bluray player doesn't know how to deal with. So the easiest method has you use a device that can already read it without modification; a PS4. But in order to make it do what we want, we need to jailbreak the PS4. (this may or may not be possible if your PS4 is completely up-to-date) With a jailbroken PS4 you can dump the game disk to a PKG file on an external drive. Once the game is done dumping, you can move it to your PC and use a PKG extractor to unpack it. Once extracted, you will find the game files. They may or may not look similar to what you see on a PC Unreal Engine game, and you can then try to extract the assets you are looking for.(as long as UE viewer supports it) Like I said, it's a difficult process. And may not be possible if you don't already have technical knowledge and the hardware to make it happen.

Hi, a little late but i am trying to have a more in-depth look at fnaf vr: help wanteds animatronics, but it say i need a AES encryption key, any way i can get around this?
If I'm looking to get started in animation, is SFM the ideal choice? I have fairly limited experience in it, but Blender seems like the better choice in the long run.
Blender is indeed the better choice in the long run. Many people still stick with SFM because they have all the models they want and it's just what they're familiar with. If you are willing to learn and improve, go with Blender.
Sure. It's really not too difficult. Check out the earlier video on this channel about "Texture Types" for a start, and I will be back with a video about shaders/materials in general sometime in the future.
Animations are exported the same way as models. You can either export them as .psk/.psa or gLTF. Importing these files into blender will import the skeleton, and apply the animation to that armature. If the right model and armature already exists in Blender, selecting it before importing will apply it to that armature. Note that it must have the exact same bones, or it won't work.
I’m mainly trying to learn how to rip game assets for the animations cause I’m trying to learn more about game animation such as how the combat was animated in Batman Arkham knight
I've been trying to rip Samara from Mass Effect 2 but she doesn't appear as BioH, only BioD. This seems to be the case for other characters as well, or that they don't appear in the search. Is there a fix for this or is just like this?
Be sure to search other folders and try different names. For example, during development of a game, they might use a placeholder name for a character in case they haven't settled on a permanent name. Usually this name is cryptic, or describes the character archetype. Unfortunately, if the search feature is not sufficient, you're going to have to go through the files manually. That's just how it is!
@@Open3DLab welp im screwwed, all i wanna do is get the UT99 models out. :'D only 2 models in the game use skeletal meshes, and i think thats why those ones work. all the other models use vertex snapping or whatever to move the characters, so they come out as their own model.
@@Open3DLab Works now :)! I want to look into a game's files but when put the locations of the pak files the UE viewer don't loads them and idk what to do .
Animations are imported the same way as models. Either export them as glTF or PSA, and import those into Blender. It should import them onto your model's armature, or spawn a new armature and apply it to that. FX textures are just textures you use in a material. Since FX materials are generally procedural, you will need to build a material that uses it from scratch, using the FX textures as a guide. It's more complex than just importing them.
just a tip, i couldn't find my UE4 version of my game and it wasn't displayed in the details tab of properties. But after a quick google I found the latest version used in the games road map/bug fixing forum on steam
This is way way way more complicated than doing it with Unity.. with that you just pick the exe path, extract it, and import it into Unity. everything else is done automatically.
There's still some nuance there. Last I checked, you needed to know the specific version of Unity, and have that version locally in order to import it. And that assumes no other encryption protection is in use.
@@evolutiongamez2287 sure, but you can probably infer the purpose of the textures by looking at them. It might be more difficult for character models that use a "toon shader" but it's not impossible.
