So many saftey procedures ignored, Tim better hug those kids and his wife because he is at very high risk at not coming home again . No High Vis clothing or vest worn while on the scene, no Traffic cones, flares or any other traffic control or warning devices used on the scene, Working the wrecker controls on the traffic side of the wrecker and even worse while on a busy freeway, allowing passengers of the casualty ( broken truck) and himself to stand in the kill/crush zone ( between the wrecker and casualty) Tim, I am not hating on you but I am saying this in a very stern voice cause I do not want you or anyone else to get hurt or killed by not being safe on the road! Its a true fact that at least one tow truck driver is killed every six days, thats not including ones that are hit and just seriously injured. Please be Safe!
Hopefully they hurry and get into tow school to learn all of the SAFETY REQUIREMENTS 👍
Tim PLEASE get covered in High Vis, get more safety tools like hazard warning triangles and traffic cones, high vis stickers, more lights etc. because your too important to get injured.
No excuse for lack of safety. Not watching crazy … next :( sorry.
Talk to Casey Ladelle at the least. The guy is the real deal.
So true
Tim always being an example of what not to do as a trucker
@@Jordan-gh6pe Learn what not to do?
Ain't it...
Do you live near the motor mile? Do you have hundreds of thousands of dollars at stake? Do you have any experience other than running your mouth?
That guy that stopped and turned his hazards on for you to get out was the real OG
Hey Tim u need to have a traffic control truck behind you when ur doing a recovery like that ask Ron Pratt how handy it is
Where is the state police oh that's right there stocking and harassing people instead of helping out
Also give a second set of hands to get off the road side faster
I assure you Ron Pratt doesn’t run traffic control on every breakdown tow he does… not even close.
Tim, that tow truck is black as night in the rear . You need more strobes and reflective tape on the rear. Stay safe. Light up the night, use yellow/green lights
If you can't see that tow truck you don't need to be on the road driving
Casey Lavelle is a great teacher for tow drivers who want to stay alive...
If it were me doing your job I’d have cones out, and I’d be wearing a high visibility vest.
I just ordered a fass fuel system pump and new led bulbs for the front of the giveaway truck I won last month. I’m excited about showing it off.
when your running your tow, you need a safety vest ( Hi Vis vest) it would help look more official. Also get some cones to put behind what you are working on to give more warning. you have lights on the truck but they can't be seen over the trailer.
Plus fact he painted back of recovery truck black says he's a mechanic slept way one a think
Yes, need reflective stripes on the back of the wrecker, plus 50% on the sides
Yeah but Tim knows it all they got classes for tow truck but he's missed a trucker he knows it all
Imagine having a CDL but needing someone else to pull your 5th wheel lock. For sure some of tims people
You really that stupid 😂😂. CDL has nothing to do with it.he pulled it weight off the trailer not going to let the jaws open.i really hope you don't drive truck.
@@jerrywilcox9890 bahahahahah
@@danieljohnson4223 topical comment when you have know clue what your talking about.
@jerrywilcox9890 yeah ok let's go with that. I've pulled many of 5th wheel
@@danieljohnson4223 and he didn't pull it for him lol he let tension of the truck.the tow truck was hooked to it it's not going to release with tow truck cable still tight 🤣 😂.
It’s amazing how people don’t even try to get over. They damn sure don’t slow down
Probably because they can’t see the tow truck until they get right up beside them
You should all have a safety orange or green vest or safety coveralls on when working that close to traffic !!
I just went to say the same but seen your comment, the company I worked for the owner made it mandatory, but since he owns the company it's optional. Safety is #1 whether you own the company or not and playing this game, it's a very dangerous occupation, always ranked in the top 3. Then I scrolled down and seen so many comments, I hope Tim takes them all seriously next time.
safety first orange green a must be done i worked in traffic for years and seen alot of crazy BS happen please give a go we called it work zone safety the first thing ins will ask you did you have your PPE on good luck be safe
I comment the same to wear high vis clothing
You can have all that like I did when I was working construction (I even had a big orange flag) and still had a car hit me in the leg (driver said he didn't see me). People just don't give a shit!!!
you should have some cones in that wrecker
Tim was wearing his hi vis shirt, it was under his hoodie😂
But yet he had it on and exposed while in his yard. Smh
Your son is a good kid I would be proud of him no matter what anybody else says
I got to hang out with him a bit at MATS. He's a good kid
I believe I would have had TN highway patrol behind you with all that traffic
Haven’t you people figured out that Tim and his buddy Steve know EVERYTHING!?!?!? I gave up pointing out their mistakes. What do I know after nearly 50 years in the business? It’s just sad to see all this ‘drama’ bs put out for the public to see. They are a DIScredit to the industry.
Yeah but Tim Knows Best LOL
L. O. L.!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Man!! I enjoyed seeing Tim towed the white truck in and brought it in the shop, and him and Bryce got right on it and got it back up and running again tip top❤💪🔥👌👏👍🏻
That poor old Columbia looks like hell Tim 😳😂😂😂
I have a century, looks just like it
Hi Tim. I've been watching and enjoying your videos since the fire. I'm a retired 35+ year banker who, until the last couple of videos, has only watched you fixing broken stuff, which tells me nothing about how you generate cash flow to run your company. Today you showed us a reefer on a trip, and the boat hauling videos and related commentary give insight into the things at Gentry and Sons that work well every day. You have provided us with a better understanding of your whole company. And I never thought the tee shirt sales would float the company. Please keep doing what you are doing and provide us with entertaining videos. And thanks for sharing your family with us.
You have to get some cones/flares for situations like that
Fact you painted back of recovery truck black plus fact you haven't got on any hi vi's clothing just asking for trouble
Definitely some hi-vis and blinding flashing lights will help.
Traffic doesn't give a F! Wow, what progress on that W900. Looks like you were busy since I saw it last!
We put some “new” injectors in that we know are good. 🤔😂So not brand new then? 😂Tim please get a high vis vest and some cones. Would help a lot. 👍🏻🇬🇧
Why didn't you get the police to slow down the traffic . You need some colored vest that has reflectors stripes on them .
Good luck getting Knoxville police to do anything that isn’t actively interfering with the flow of traffic.
Good luck getting lazy cops to leave the donut shop 😂
Police cars even get smashed on traffic stops with the emergency lights on ,it's just dangerous regardless
That’s why a lot of tow companies bring two trucks .. usually a rollback that has a signboard or pick up truck
@@andrewb941 I’ve been towed from the roadside several times, and seen hundreds being hooked up nationwide. Never once do I remember a towing company sending two trucks just to recover a simple broken down truck.
I'm a former Marine in Lenoir City. Grew up in Knoxville Tn since 78 when I moved here at 5 years old. We always called Alcoa Highway since construction started and airport remodel. Alcoa Highway is I'll kill ya Highway !!!! Be safe buddy !!!!
This guy has no business running a wrecker. Especially out on a busy road Timmy has shown he’s not a very bright character. But he fits in with thousands of morons out there driving trucks these days.
I am not a hater, Tim. You do have to admit that you put yourself in bad situations. Your high visibility shirt doesn't do you any good covering it up with a dark hoodie. Please use some common sense before you get yourself hurt badly or killed. Jeezus Tim.
Your sure getting the trucks repaired Tim....Hope youve got a free passage for a while...But as you know, things happen...Stay safe and see you on the next one
It's always great to have a tow truck or two on hand when you have a good fleet of trucks. New equipment spends more time in the shops than old equipment does.
I Love your positive, and hardworking attitude.
Truckin ain't easy, that's for sure.
Thats so dangerous working on the side of the busy road and people dont care. Glad you got back home safe and got some trucks running. Great job.
I go back to school 3 months earlier to learn how to work on these new trucks. And it's not bothering me to do it. I'm learning how to work on the emission stuff and everything. And actually when it comes down to it's easier to work on, but if it involves me going back 3 months out every year I will just keep up with the new stuff coming out.
Man y is everyone hating on this poor guy? Because hes trying to feed his family? Because he works? Because he has trucks and you guys still owe on a 1998 toyota corolla? Leave the dude alone. Work on yourself. Dont hate on anyone. Dont be jealous of people.
If I now you and dad this truck will be back on the road in no time 😊
It's seems at Gentry&sons the Truck mechanic is getting more &more Valuable everyday.
Tim. U could never b so right about older truck are more faithful n reliable, then new trucks. Yeah it's nice to drive new ones, BUT u won't get life out of new ones as the old trucks! Give me an old truck ANYTIME, I know I'll keep rolling with less down time!😊
I'm glad it was a easy fix for you. I've not been so lucky the last year or so I can not keep my truck together. Transmission has went out 3 times. Mechanic shop drove if off the alignment rack and thru the wall. I try to stay up on all my maintenance and keep everything legal but it's getting tough for a one truck operation. I would love to bring it down and let your guys look at it. I know it is smaller. Just a 14 ram 3500 with g56 but it's what I could afford.
Kool stuff Tim keep on trucking good job doing great
That freightliner sounds awesome when it starts right up with the isx Cummins Diesel engine 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Come to think of it your trucks should ALL have them in case of break downs for your drivers safety 😊😊😊
That's the drivers responsibility to have them not his.
Good video brother y'all take care be safe. Brax is learning the ins and outs of the business. Both sides driving and mechanics end of it.
I’d do a compression test on that engine, so you can try to plan the in frame, doing it on your timeline is much cheeper than when it’s broken down 2000 miles away with a driver, and a load.. get those injectors remanufactured, and get a rebuild kit on the shelf..
You need fluro high vis clothing Tim and Police to shut a lane down. Tow trucking is dangerous job
You are right about that
Idk what the hell u damn high vis anything. That shit isn't gonna save u when they r looking at there phones anyway. Ya'll and your safety bullshit.
Cops aren’t going to shut the lane down 😂
Tim I learned one thank while driving a truck. Keep the old trucks.the new one have all that DEF on it and my. Freightliner sayed in the shop two or three times a year. And a lot of the problems was the DEF system not working like should and the parts was not Cheap
Great work fellas, that's what I been waiting to see is the big heavy haul videos, like the yacht video, waiting on rest of video on it
If I was the truck driver I’d be helping the hell out of my boss man. Trailer would have been dropped and cables would’ve been pulled out with team effort. The chick coulda held that camera. C’mon team work makes the dream work. Love the video Mr. Gentry.
Tim I’ve learned, that you don’t fix what’s not broken,
Have to agree with the high vis comments Tim you can't make videos if you end up playing hood ornament 😊😊
Tim you have saved yourself some money by having your own tow rig!! Keep up the good work love watching your videos! Especially the ones when you have Brax out helping you! Reminds me of when I was younger working In shop next to me dad!!
I grew up around the old trucks
Respect from the UK Tim and crew
Woo new gentry video
Hey what’s up fam how y’all doing much love let’s go #GNSTRUCKING stand up checking in with y’all one love fam
keep on
keepin on !!!!
love yer ambition
Tim you should be wearing your bright green vest for safety.
$90K 😲, So in other words you really don’t want to sell it. GP TRANSCO here in Joliet Illinois is selling 2021-2022 trucks for less than that and with less than #400K miles on them.
Check your crank and Cam sensor's
Casey Lavelle is a great teacher for tow drivers who want to stay alive...
Glad you got it going Tim
Good tow
Tim you need to purchase snatch blocks.
These old trucks, people don’t realize their chunks of gold .
I love the getting the old DOG's rolling again. These videos are so much better than your racing videos. I like all your videos but I like watching you make your work Horses run wild man!!!! Thanks and God Bless.
BTW, Don’t drivers carry ‘FLARES’ anymore or even triangles? When I drove I always kept at least #10 -#12 Flares in my side box! And 2 FIRST AID KITS, the Troopers LOVE ❤️ to see that. I think all Professional Truckers should invest in or learn about AED’s (automated external defibrillators)… Especially night Runners like myself, I’ve noticed over the years, Emergency Response times are terrible and getting worse every year. You could save somebody’s life, even a child and someone can also save your life as well.
Triangles are a DOT requirement, I noticed his driver didn't even have any of those deployed either
@@theGovnr1 Yes, I think I’m beginning to see why he wants to make big changes, I think he’s saying No more Mr. Nice Guy.
I’m still waiting to see what actually happened with Steve from FSC trucking on that boat 🛥️ escort after he got stuck in the ditch.
That escort was a total disaster, there’s no way they should have been on I-75, I don’t even understand the DOT even giving them a Permit to run I-75 😲🫣. Maybe they decided to just Delete the footage. Who could blame them? All my years driving, I’ve NEVER ever seen anything oversized do what they were doing on an interstate, Not even with a State Police Escort. The States usually give big Oversized Loads SPECIFIC ROUTES TO TAKE and it’s HUGE $FINES$ if they deviate from those Routes. I’m still SHOCKED 😮 from watching that video. YIKES 😱
Thats sad that you have a Tow truck in your fleet, but when you run junk you have to have that extra insurance to get the junk back to the yard... 😅😅
Tim please be more careful out there definitely on a busy freeway like that
Man you need your ppe on brother plus a local police or someone would've came out to help with that traffic. Where are your triangles bro??
Tim why are you not wearing high visibility vest . It may save your life .
Kool stuff big dog keep rolling
Tim, u should wear some high visability gear and maybe take a flagger with u to stand behind the truck to direct traffic
Gettin it done!!! WOOT WOOT!
Hey Timmy you over night paint expert, prep the front bumper correct, and put away the walmart spray bombs, and your bumper will stay painted!!
I new the truck industry was in trouble 5 years ago hence why I got started an online side hustle. I should sell me truck but I'll keep it for fun💯😎
Law enforcement can be your friend.
Is that a DD-13 430hp?
My 1st oil change on a customers car ( actually my first ever oil change) I the old gasket stuck and yes, when I fired it up, oil everywhere and that was over 50 years ago…
Also learned how to scrub the gas station’s bay floor.
DD’s for Ever !!!

Great video Bro. Love your content ❤
Flat beds haul our Food, Electric transformer's, and sh'_ paper! Yessir! 😁 You got my attention!!!!
This is one of these times you got to do what you gotta do! 😮😂😅
Hi Tim Gentry and Sons and family
check the alternator i think a wire is not connected maybe tim bud you have a awesome day ok man
They make special U-Bolt forks for towing Tractors from the rear. Saves time and hassle
Paint that bumper with bed liner
100 trucks???? You been sniffing too much ether.
Beside a busy road like that is a great place to be wearing HI VIZ.
Would def be a lot better if you got yourself a head-mounted GoPro to wear like FSC does. Stay safe out there Tim, you should def have some High-Viz apparel on as well, as well as better lighting or reflective Chevrons on the back of the Wrecker, working next to traffic is never fun. No hate, just some suggestions. Keep up the great content 🤙🏼
Tim your the hardest working person in trucking. Besides your will always have people saying negative things about what you do as a business owner heck you 🏃 run your business how you see fit Tim.
Nice swap over must of saved you some time bloody good investment that tow truck .driver on the road again slick as tim nice work
You might want to stock a high visibility vest or 2 or 3 in the tow truck with the dark colors you blend with the asphalt
Tim has no business operating that wrecker. If he can’t do that job on the side of the road with that much space hire someone else that can .. and yes I did this kind of work for a long time
Tim u might want to wear safety gear organe or yellow so people see u
I had my yellow reflective shirt on under my hoodie I honestly didn’t think about it till after
The incompetence of Tim as a tow truck driver is absurd!!
Absolutely no High vis safety gear worn no cones or flares put out around broken truck or wrecker Allowing bystanders to stand between both trucks/ crush zone no one directing traffic for the safety of the innocent traveling public Tim is a accident waiting to happen unless he changes his protocol and starts taking safety first not only for his safety but also the safety of the innocent public
I’m not hating on Tim just stating obvious facts that Tim should already know as a business owner
If something happens and someone is injured or killed due to Tim’s negligence he will lose everything he’s worked for
That starter sounds like a Chrysler motor when you're turning it over
That was a awesome video you guys are doing a awesome job hope you all have a blessed day God bless 👍🙏💯
Dang who's the beautiful woman standing there when you're messing with that broke down truck.
None of your business.

Aye Tim; Be very careful because with new injectors can cause a big end failure to a older motor. I think you will understand what I'm talking about.
Hi Tim, when your wife looks at this video she is going to kick your arse hard NO High Vis No Cones. Carry on like this & they will be calling you THE LATE Mr TIM GENTRY. Safety First. Stay safe TIM all the best TONY, RHYL N. WALES.
I look at it this way everything breaks down sometime. But you got to look at it this way also at least you have your own tow truck to be able to take a truck out and get the broken truck and tow back.
If I had come across you doing something like that I would have parked in the lane next to you with hazard lights on..then you would have had a lane cushion for safety. Keep on keeping on brother my freightliner Cascadia has 786324 miles and I'll run her till the frame rots then probably replace it 😂
So very glad to see that you have bounced back somewhat from the fire. Well done sir.
You guys are going to have a major accident! That heavy haul with your Dad was bad but this was crazy
