I recently started bodysurfing (or attempting to, lol), and I've been into photography for more years than I can remember, lol. So after seeing your videos and some other folks that take photos in the water too; I found an underwater case for a small pocket sony camera I have, and started taking surfing photos. Just for fun, to learn what works and what doesn't. But honestly the best are not the photos, is like you said, just being there in the water ... Cheers!
Mate that’s so good to hear! So stoked to be a part of getting people out in the water. Keep enjoying it mate and thanks so much for letting me know!
Nice one mate! Good to get out before it's frostbite season haha
Thanks mate! Haha, best time of year! Got a new hooded steamer just waiting for it to get colder 😎
What are you settings for fisheye? shutter speed, aperture, focus mode etc? Cheers mate!
Hey mate I usually try and use over 1/1000 and if possible up around 1/1600. Aperture around f8. With the Sony cameras I set it on autofocus but have a custom button that switches to lock focus. That way I can focus on something a few meters away and then lock the focus. The advantage of this is that if I want to switch to shooting underwater stuff, I can then back on autofocus via the button and change focus then lock it off again. Hope this makes sense
Great shots brother !! makes me want to go shoot 👍🏻👀👀🤟🏼
Thanks legend, really appreciate it! Such a nice time of year up here, just need some proper swell to line up around work!!
