    I’m new to welding. Been in it for about a year. Got my stick 3g and 4g unlimited thickness and flux core nr232 4g unlimited thickness working on my 3g certs. Looking to join union ironworkers. That’s a lot of wire you put down. What does an inspector look for when welding column splices? God bless America stay safe out there

    Keep smokin em in there. Nice work bro. What kind of settings are you runnin at the suitcase with that wire? I’m currently runnin 5/64” esab innershield and I think it’s pretty trashy wire, just my opinion tho

    awesome weld, big iron right there
    what sort of manipulation do you do with this wire? it kinda looks like you're whipping but maybe you're doing like C's or V's?

    • @jetweldingllc4691
      @jetweldingllc4691  7 місяців тому +1

      Cris. Yes I am whipping the shit out of it, I was brought up in the 80s.Running 5P.That is your sixty ten today that is p fi've plus,6010, I always whip even 7018.It's a drag wire.I don't trust it.I'm always pushing the puddle back making my beads.The size I need it to be, I watch so many other people And the WAY they weld , these COLUMN SPLICES, Everybody has their own flavor, I am about my welD being the cleanest on earth, When the CWI inspects my WELDS, Number #1, he knows that's my WELD, cause of my signature STRINGER BEAD, This is my thirty eighth year, I know every inspector, And I love meeting the new ones, I love to watch how they approach the columns.I WATCH WHAT' their looking for, it's great, I know DAM straight.That shits clean, I examine every pass and pick It apart,

    How long does that weld take and do you alternate sides of the column as you weld it out or do all of one side at a time?

      Basket, Good morning brother, Oh yeah that's reality,, You better be f****** good.
      That is about one hundred and thirty pounds of wire , That's why I turned this erector from using hobart to lincoln, They listen to me because of my experience and being one of the best, It's called trust,, And a lot of The failure rate with hobart wire is incredible, It is the dirtiest wire, And it's not designed to do these connections, I actually got what I wanted, In all the production welders are fucking happy,But when it comes to this , you have to use the best, Lincoln N r 305 ,you Thanks for your comment
