Bring back old-school “man movies” that celebrated raw, unapologetic storytelling that put real heroes, personal struggles, and visceral revenge front and center. They weren’t afraid to portray flawed, rugged characters overcoming impossible odds, fueled by grit, loyalty, and unshakable codes of honor. I get that PBD's questions likely stem from Gladiator being one of his favorite films, but it's nearly 25 years old. Russell Crowe has aged considerably, and his physique has also changed. Inserting a dead character into a new storyline when he's obviously aged and looks different than the Maximus that died, would have been a contrivance and would have only further made this sequel unnecessary.
Oliver's attitude is because there talking a bout the cocktail movie compared to his movies this is the guy who wrote Scareface and made some truly great movies still lot of respect for Brian Brown

Yes, the movie broke the box office, but I believe that's largely due to audiences craving a truly great film. Fans of the original Gladiator have been longing for another epic on the same level, and enthusiasts of shows like Game of Thrones are drawn to anything set in ancient times. However, Gladiator 2, at best, feels more suited for a Netflix or Amazon series rather than a blockbuster movie. It lacks the weight and depth to truly justify its success at the box office. I wish they had come up with a script to bring Russell Crowe back in Gladiator 2. This could have been done easily, even if his character appeared as a spirit or a seer. As for Denzel Washington-he’s one of my favorite actors of all time. HOWEVER, not for Gladiator. Why? Because Denzel’s acting style simply doesn’t fit the tone of a Gladiator-esque film. I love the original Gladiator, but not the sequel. I was disappointed and would rate it a 7 for effort. The plot was predictable, with every twist easy to see coming. The storyline felt generic and weak, something an amateur could have written better.
first off, much respect to PBD, been watching his clips a long while now, but the more i watch, i’m beginning to see the dude does have limitations… some ppl and some topics are just out of his realm… he has limitations, oliver stone made PBD’s weaknesses crystal clear and there was another woman who was a victim of child trafficking that also made it clear. he’s a business man first and foremost, that’s his strength, he should maybe just stick to his strengths if he doesn’t wanna display his limitations too much
He's a dumb ass who just trend hops while preaching how "successful" he is. His shows been annoying me for ages. It's literally why he has Vinnie and Adam on. To seem smarter than the room, like that's hard with those two dimwits.
90's had the Best films' i.e. psychological thrillers where one would actually need to engage a thought process because the storyline was not totally contrived & predictable!
I was upset too after watching it. I'm still upset. Something about this stupid sequel has rubbed me the wrong way unlike any movie before. It's weird.
There are three movies that must never be remade or have a sequel. They are: Gone with the Wind, Ben Hur with Charlton Heston, Gladiator with Russell Crowe.

@@skeeterfinklage445 PBD treated it all a bit lightly . He should have concentrated on getting Stone to open up about what he thinks about and what matters to him.He didn't really want to talk about Gladiator 2.
pbd is a drama queen and Oliver just kept on humbling him
That’s your take after watching this? He’s the opposite of a creep. Creeps gossip about things they don’t know.
PBD was actually asking really stupid questions. Felt like I was watching ESPN with all the shallow man drama he was trying to engage Oliver in.
GLADIATOR TOP TEN FAVORITE MOVIES!! TOP 50 is crazy patt. I've probably seen that movie as much times as I seen goodfellas.
Oliver's attitude is because there talking a bout the cocktail movie compared to his movies this is the guy who wrote Scareface and made some truly great movies still lot of respect for Brian Brown
Yeah PBd showed his level of intellect with this one.
Agreed
They’re both answering every single question like PBD is trying to ask “gotcha” questions. PBD has done that, but clearly he was trying to ask questions in the beginning to get a better picture for us and himself through Oliver’s lens.
Gladiator 2 is terrible... Terrible. Also in the beginning of the movie kids are playing football (soccer)... Soccer during Rome Imperium?? Hahahhaha.... Sorry for English I'm from Poland
Hey it's Hollywood where historical accuracy means nothing lol. Where the Tokugawa Era samurai are fighting the Spartans & Napoleonic cavalry in pink space suits 😅😅😂😂😂
It was terrible.
Apocalypse Now. Watch it over and over. Cinematography is amazing. Such an emotional and psychological thriller.
In my top 3.
*Happy Xmas season 🥳 to y'all. We all know that the digital market is creating a different revolution in the world economy. I make up to $45,000 per week trading in the digital market. Having a job now doesn't seem to guarantee complete financial stability. Instead, having multiple sources of income that don't depend on the government*
I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $21k passively by just going into crypto investment , and I don't have to do much work. Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic.
I am new to the crypto world and don't understand how it really works. A friend told me trading with a professional trader is the best strategy for beginners and busy investors, but for months now I've been making so research and haven't found any.please any recommendations
Thanks to Mrs. Ksenia Alice

I first met her last year at a conference in Washington DC, invested $2,000 and within a week of trade I make over $15,000.

damn PBD set that clip up and bombed hard
It's weird.
Tombstone, never gets old for me💯 Kurt Russell rules
I saw the trailer for Glad 2 and was like, no thanks. There is only one Gladiator and thats Russell Crowe.
There are three movies that must never be remade or have a sequel. They are: Gone with the Wind, Ben Hur with Charlton Heston, Gladiator with Russell Crowe.
Russell Crowe played that part so well in No2 😂
Like the JOKER, Gladiator didn't need a sequel
This interview shows just why the Hollywood film industry is the penultimate and why it is so hard to break in. The people at the top are like no other.
Pat getting clowned on his own Podcast just made 2024 the best year ever and we have Trump back in office too!!!
Oliver stone does not like wasting time with other peoples opinions, or having to talk about anything but himself
Oliver Stone is like "IDGAF" lol
Oliver Stone gets credit for educating us on Ukraine. "Ukraine on Fire" 2014. Thank you, Oliver.
I feel him SO much on this there are SO many creative works all so different. Every expression is a unique sequence of moments captured in time. I love film. I love SO many. Its like people why would you choose one when we all have something so beautiful we can offer from each our own perspective and expression.
They are asking Russell Crowe is to troll him and get a reaction.
Alien 2 Star Trek 2 Wrath of Kahn Empire Strikes Back, the best are usually sequels to a moderate movie!
And topgun maverick
I hope that Patrick would have asked Oliver what did he think about the proliferation of sequels.
you have oliver stone and u ask him about gladiator and cocktail lol, he's like.. i did wall street and platoon... way better than cocktail
That while conversation you didn’t add any of Oliver’s films in there , for this reason along he looks like he wants to part of this question .
Pat: “Want to know one of my fav movies? I saw it 200 times. It’s cocktailZ with Christopher Walken.”
Pat is such a moron 😂😂😂😂😂
They Mentioned "The lost Boys" and "Rocky IV".. all i needed to hear.. 🤘
Russel Crow looks like he can play an awesome Saint Nick.🎅
