It's interesting that they made a big deal about Hagrid having the students in close proximity with a hippogrif when all the other teachers are putting all the students through trials that are inherently more life-threatening. If they are worried about safety concerns then the whole school would need to be shut down lol.
My friend and I grew up playing the first two on PC and this on the PS2. I'll never forget when he discovered there was a PC version that played just like 1 and 2. We were having a LAN party (just four of us) and he found a site to download it from and got it to run too, on both our computers (don't know if it's as difficult to run as HP1, as trying to get that to run put me off trying to download any of the others). Man, we played that game so freakin' much that weekend... _even managed to get to the 🅱️ean Room!_ Somehow missed this vid when it came out, but I'm glad I found it now (which was actually thanks to me showing my brother your **hilarious** and fantastic _Quidditch World Cup_ vid when talking about my hype for _Hogwarts Legacy_ - which I still haven't recieved due to the extreme popularity of it - and subsequently the previous _Harry Potter_ games, the first two of which _he_ gave me back in the day!). Love all ya do, Mick, but few things hits me as hard as the _Harry Potter_ games. Cheers, man! P.S. _Hogwarts Mystery_ is still up on the Play Store, at the very least. Would love to see ya play -through- that as well some day, though it might get tedious or expensive with all the waiting. Still, I had great fun watching my friend play while we were at another friend's cabin, so think it could be fun for a video or two at least.
To find out what house a student is from, just look at their robes since each house is not only identified by their sigil animal, but also by the color of their robes and banners. red for Gryffindor, blue for Ravenclaw, yellow for Hufflepuff, and green for Slytherin.
It's interesting that the music in this game, especially the combat music, reminds me a lot of KOTOR, or a little of Bounty Hunter, but not all of Morrowind.
42:35 I feel like there's something fishy with these kids slinging the exact same cards in endless supply around the school. Are those wizard cards really just disguised LSD? Explains alot if you think about it.
I played the first two HP games only on PC back in the day and Prisoner was the one that introduced me to the PS2 versions of the games. I played the rest on PS2, so I'm curious how much different this one is. From the first impression it looks way similar to the "older" two games, whereas the PS2 version had way more modern graphics imo. Could just be me tho.
I'd like to have a discussion somewhere about this, but something PoA did kind of poorly that CoS did very well, is making more of the castle explorable as you learned more spells. In CoS, there were secrets locked away behind Diffindos, and Skurges, and Spongifys. In PoA, I feel like you could access all castle secrets right away, after the lesson with Lupin -- I'll want to test that theory at some point. The PS2 game did better on the concept, but the PC port was just nonexistent on the gradual exploration.
