Remember this at release and it was graphically one of the best out at the time, but the gameplay was to simple and even the average Atari owner had moved on to more sophisticated games on the 2600.
Not as good as Pitfall or River Raid, but still superior to a lot of 2600 games. Activision 2600 games were always worth a look at the time. These graphics are excellent in comparison to most titles on the 2600. Yes this game probably cost $35 at the time.
@@barriflegamer If you keep making videos about 2600 games, definitely take a look at the actual prices on these games. I’m almost positive this game cost $35 in actual 1982 dollars. And it was considered reasonable. What’s that in 2024 dollars, $120? Fascinating stuff.

I never owned this game but I remember borrowing it from a friend when I was in sixth grade in the mid-80s. It looked more fun than it really was
Oh man! I LOVED this game and forgot all about it.
Sincerely- thank you for this upload.

Good comment. I really should have mentioned the graphics. Activision never disappointed in that department.

@@chrisw6164 I spent a whopping $40 of my Christmas money at Pathmark buying Chopper Command circa 1983
This is one of those games that immediately disappointede as a kid.
It was great compared to Telstar Pong. 😅
Not gonna argue that. I’d have hoped they’d evolved past Pong consoles at this point lol
