The more videos I watch with different caracals the more I see them actually being affectionate with their humans, wanting to be around them, making vocalizations BESIDES growls and hisses. Leads me to believe that people are right for being concerned over that one “floppa” who only hisses, growls, and death glares at his caretaker whenever he comes near it.
I think there is something wrong with Pumba maybe that caracal has illness undetected or really hostile by nature, while the other caracals are affectionate and can say "meow" like a normal house cat. Pumba the caracal cat always hisses towards the camera. I dont believe caracals only communicate with growls and hisses. Floppa's Gosha and Marc the other caracals PROVE IT WRONG! They meow and chirps as well.
It cant help it though they cant meow that is a behaviour other breeds of cat have learnt over time to communicate with us these wild breeds cant do it yet most of the time its not even aggression.

think this is the happiest ive seen him... he loves the outdoors... no hissing and hes headbut petting the child... which is a natural BMX star... build that boy some begginner jumps and stick a helmet on him... he will make u proud... hes at the perfect age to learn the sport... even if there are no tracks around.... he can learn the basics of it til a track presents itself.

Look at the hunting instinct the child is setting off by simply running in front. The cat goes into chase mode and takes a swipe. That cat is declawed. It can hurt someone just playing. A swipe from this cat will leave you scarred for life.
i actually agree. although it seems like the caracal really likes the child, as its rubbing against him like a domestic cat does when they show affection to someone, but i don't think it's safe at all. it could seriously hurt the child, even in a playing situation that gets too rough or smth like that. i really hope that nothing bad will happens in the future and that the owners never leave the child and the caracal alone.
