Few people know that he was not born that way. As a child they were nibbled off by a family of famished ferrets. He liked to sleep with his feet outside of the tent, to stay cool - he doesn't do that anymore.

Tholnar was brave! As a child, I couldn’t sleep unless my head was under the covers, let alone my feet hanging out. (Not sure how I thought mere bed linens were going to protect me from Oogie Boogie. Gotta love that innocent kid logic!)
