A healthy Grizzlies team probably does push this series to 7 games, and heck, they may have even won. But this is why you don't say "we fine in the west". In order to get to the Finals, so much has to go right, some of it beyond your control and there is always some luck involved. Control what you can control, play as well as you can and let the pieces fall where they may all while keeping your mouth shut. Running your mouth like they do, not only tempts fate, but also adds extra motivation to the opposing teams when facing you. That team has A LOT of maturing to do.

Great point. The disrespect towards opponents indicates lack of maturity. NBA players have every right to be confident but going up against other NBA players helps maintain a healthy humility you saw in Kobe and see in LeBron. It's a team game ultimately so individual eliteness doesn't give anyone room to disrespect the opponent. The surrounding cast many times make competitors pay for underestimating the superstar player.
