This video is right on, it shows to different types of Drone Pilots, the first Drone'er is a very much a a-hole that gives the hobby a bad name, I give that Cops credit for maintaining there professionalism. The second Pilot is a pro.

You need to let these cops know the supreme court has ruled you may film or take pictures of anything in plane sight...anything...unless there is some expectation of privacy. It is generally lawful to take photographs of people in public places without their consent. However, you must not film or take photos of people if they are in a place where they can expect privacy (such as a public changing area or toilet) and that person: ... has not given consent to be filmed or photographed.

Sorry to US folks but you guys are paranoid. Here in Europe, most countries, we engage with the police when they ask questions. They are doing their job for our own safety and im (we) glad that they care. They don't know me, so I understand that they want to learn who a im. After a 5 minutes of conversation, both parties keep doing their stuff with a smile in the face. Living in Society, this is how we should behave. Respect for each other.
He admitted that he doesn't know the laws about flying drones so him and his bull dog shouldn't be harassing you for it when they don't know what they are stopping you for

@2.30 there is not such thing as a conversation with a cop, ever. @4.00 cop admitted he has no idea of aviation regulations so he detained a member of the public (for no crime) in order to learn, in that case they should have no problem in paying for that education (remember they have basically kidnapped this pilot) for their own purpose.
