What a Beautiful Machine. It is quiet for the most part and cleans the Clothes real good. When Gm Made the Motors for these machines you got your Monies worth for sure !
These old frigidaires have the best rollover than any other machine ever manufactured. HE washers dont do squat compared to these vintage workhorses. Keep up the awesome videos!
Never get tired of these babies. Gso I remember what you said on one your videos that these washers don’t require long wash times cause of the thorough wash action.
Just caught this. Thanks man. Have a blast with all of your toys ! These GM Frigidaire washers don't play around. The water is spun out in an instant. Would be nice if you could find a 58 custom imperial unimatic.
Like It??? I Loved it!!! Can't wait to see more!!! Gso could you possibly put one of the loads a little off balance before the spin so we could see the off balance switch work??? Thanks and Have a great weekend...
I was really young when my grandmother had the rollermatic, it was in the late 70s. My distinct memories were the brake squeak, it's ramping up (during rapid dry) and a time when it went off balance and it bongoed a couple of times before shutting down. I also remeber you mentioned that on later model rollermatics having a short fill section in between spin and rinse. I believe my grandmother's model had this. Which model could it have been? Thanks again.
She probably had a Custom Deluxe machine with Rapidry. This is an earlier model. The control panel was a bit different but still a high back console. They could be ordered with different features. I'm sure it had the Jetcone.
The Unimatic was built in domestic machines from 1947-1958. (The mechanism was used until the 60s for coin-op machines). The Unimatic is a direct drive machine with a spin speed of 1140. They did not have two speeds. The Multimatic Mechanism (1959) was a belt driven mechanism capable of two speeds. It had a spin speed of 850 RPM until Frigidaire made the 12lb tub in late 1962. The Multimatic was an updated version of the Pulsamatic. These machines have the same pulses as the Unimatics. All of these machines are solid tubs.

@ 2:13 bless you!
My grandmother's roller Matic would squeak like that.
This is a Multimatic, but the Rollermatics were loud!
what rpm does this machine do spinning just out of interest😁👍
Any differences between this and the Unimatics?

Gso is this a 10lbs tub?
9 pounds Antonio.
These things have questionable water pressure.
