    What’s also interesting is the Cross of St. Peter. Nowadays people try to make it satanic, but it’s inverted because Peter wanted to be crucified as such since he felt he wasn’t worthy to be crucified in the same way as Jesus.

    • @joshuakarr-BibleMan
      @joshuakarr-BibleMan 11 місяців тому

      Sure, but that meaning is lost on most.
      By majority, inverting the cross _is_ evil because it is done with the evil intention of defiling the saving act of Jesus's primary work on Earth.
      So, the inverted cross of Peter, just like the peaceful meanings formerly ascribed to the swastika in civilizations past, and the Christian use of the pentagram, are good to know about. Knowing these things enables us to disarm people who weaponize them, but the minority position of knowledge requires consistent and accurate effort, in order to prevail.

      I remember seeing Chelsea Clinton wearing an upside down cross necklace. People were defending her saying it's St Peter's Cross, but she is also friendly with the Church of Satan social media. And it also seems weird that the Catholic church would use Peter's cross instead of Jesus' upright one. I can see why people make it to be Satanic -- it's often seen in places with questionable theology. (All that said, Peter's declaration about that is truly breathtaking and deeply moving.)

    I'm glad you put "white majick" in "inverted commas" ( no pun intended ) because we are not to practice ANY sort of majick or divination or sorcery etc as it says in many places in The Bible .

    • @joshuakarr-BibleMan
      @joshuakarr-BibleMan 11 місяців тому +3

      That's right.
      All forms of magic call upon spirits to serve men.
      The only spirit we should try to know is God, and one of the first things we need to know about Him is that He can't be made to serve us.

    • @Pure-Crystal-Fire
      @Pure-Crystal-Fire 11 місяців тому

      Agreed Joshua , but those spirits are lying spirits, they don't serve men , they are lulling devious impostors, they can't poses a TRULY born again believer`.
      Those who practice majick allow portals portals to be opened in the 1st and second heaven , and we know satan and his minions , other fallen angels and dis-incarnate unholy spirits inhabit those places.
      They have the ability to jump into any unsaved person or creature , as we see many times in the Bible, and avoid these people ( If you can't educate them, and show them that what they are doing us super wrong ! and those that mess with Tarot cards, Ouija Boards, divination pendulums and the plethora of things they use , yea avoid them them like the Lake of Fire . Prayer as always is our best weapon for anyone we may know who does this stuff .
      Prayer out trumps their weapons with the unmatchable power of God ! Thank God and blessings on His Holy Names forever and ever !

    Reminds me of the Swastika; It was similarly an eastern symbol of relatively mundane meanings and frequent usage but its adoption by germany made it quite different to the world.

      It seems like any symbol could be used to represent evil, if someone wanted to do so. It is harder going the other way, but I think not impossible, since we are told to take every thought captive to Christ.

      Hilter took the original symbol which meant good fortune and inverted it. That’s what satanists do like the upside down cross.

    • @nathanielbrown4303
      @nathanielbrown4303 6 місяців тому

      Actually the upside down cross was used to crucify a Christian who wanted it to be upside down because he believed that he did not deserve the same death as Jesus/yeshua

    Hmm. No mention of ti also being used on a coin with the Hebrew letters for Jesuralem and the inverted was used to represent Incarnation, and birth which is how it actually got associated with Jesus prior to the later "five" wounds bit. The five wounds is actually false btw because the wounds included the head, the heart, the wrists/hands, and the ankles/feet, and the upright represented death and therefore resurrection.

    In the case of The Order of the Eastern Star. In the centre is the Bible. Each point represents one of five Biblical heroines who are examples of womanly virtue to members such as Ruth, Esther, etc drawn from both Testaments.

    I don’t know of any Christians who wear or use a pentagram. A Christian shouldn’t wear or use a pentagram out of respect and for our LORD and Savior, simply because of what it symbolizes to the world.
    Romans 12:2
    “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

    I hadn't heard that the Christian church used that symbol before. Leaves me with some questions though, such as when that was and who started it. Was it former pagans repurposing a symbol already familiar to them? If the world is heavily using that symbol, it makes more sense that we should not.

      the pentagram is extremely powerful and dangerous. its inherently apart of the occult and its a GREAT way to get demons into your soul and get attachments its a dangerous thing stay well far from any pentagram and remember to bless yourself and say prayers of protection! the name of jesus destroys and demon in your path. demons fall weak to his name whenever they hear it because it reminds them of how Satan their fallen leader was banished to eternal suffering and complete failure of his "grand idea". whenever you see this symbol allow the holy spirit to take hold of you so that you may do the will of god because its important these people dealing with occult are dealt with quickly or else god will most certainly wont and he will punish those that you see in a way you do not wish.

      The star of Remphan. Also known as Saturn or Satan the Lord of the material world. Hence the sabbath - the holy day of Satan is celebrated on Saturday by his followers.

    Pentagram (Spirit, Water, Fire, Earth,Air) Even in Hindu Culture they also use this symbol, only you will find in "श्री - Shree/Shri" word in middle of it. It's known as Shri Yantra.
    It will give you Prosperity & Good Health and will help your house to protect from other bad energy.
    In Hindu Culture it's known as the Power Of Good Energy.

      Jesus loves u mam, he really does. Trust me i was isolated, going through struggles, ocd, and God has been healing me ever since and my life feels like it has meaning now. The most beautiful thing about christianity is the fact it shows us how God loved us so much he died for us, and suffered just so we don’t have to suffer any longer. It’s really really beautiful. Let me tell you that without him i would be lost, but now i’m found. And i give him all the glory for that.

    It is bad as it is an alternative to God's vision and, as per Him who created the Universe the other cultures are worshipping false ideologies however, you folks at Got Questions as a Christian and Bible believers , your stance upon the pentagram is very concerning because your answer is trying to please all rather than being firmly decisive in Christ. Are you really serving Christ?

    • @jensonho3968

      Support your view point , if we take a deeper view on it, the pentagram has always been a symbol of rebellion instead of communication.
      We should really take a stronger stand against any symbol that is connected with Pagans and Satanism

      Not at all.
      Gotquestions is telling you there is no inherent power, either of good or of evil, in the symbol of the pentagram.
      They tell its history, who has used it and what for, and what it generally means today.
      This is pretty useful.
      What if you wanted to be a scholar, and one day you started seeing this symbol all over the place in ancient Christian artifacts?
      Would your faith be rattled by seeing something you knew too little about?
      In knowing more, you can defend your mind against the damage ignorance invites.
      The video gives no hint any evil use of this symbol is good or acceptable to the church.
      How do you see this as compromise?
